When can they stop the 1017?

I'm tired on fighting 1017 dungeon:mad:

I haven't gotten 1017 since the extended maintenance.

when the free trial period ended?

Everyone I've spoken with says they are having no issues logging now. Regardless of the time of day.

Haven't seen 1017 since the 10 hour maintenance. I have seen login queues and for a few hours after the maintenance, I saw the "already logged in" issue, but no 1017.

Haven't seen 1017 since maintenance. Last 3-4 days can login instantly without queues.

I've been spamming 0's to get into Gungnir for 30mins- getting RSI. F***ing ridiculous. How is it all that hard to implement a queue.

I have had absolutely no problems logging in since they did maint the other day.

1017 on tonberry now...

Getting 1017/90000 on Masamune around JP primetime, no surprise there.
What exasperates the issue are the constant RECEIVE 0 I get during JP primetime. One after the other during the weekend. This eventually leads to 90000 when I don't recover from said r0. This is followed by 15-45 minutes of 1017.

It's one thing to have an issue securing your spot in the first place, but now keeping it too? :(
Looks like another server upgrade is needed, SE.

The worst of it? Getting back in requires my full attention. There's no tapping 0 while watching a show, oh no, I'm forced to sit there and confirm I'm not skipping some queue that pops up every 10-15 minutes (Which spits me a 1017 anyway 75% of the time.) Helllllp. T___T

I'm an Aussie player on the Tonberry server and I can tell you that the 1017 World Full message is indeed a major issue atm.
I have been trying to log on to the server for at least the last 8 hours and instantly receiving the above message every time. The trouble is....the server never frees up!!!

Now I'm pretty patient and I won't get quite as carried away with it all as the "old mate" in previous posts but it's not a great start for SE so far. The game to this point is excellent and thoroughly enjoying it, if only I could play it???

We have company members that cannot even start a character and inconsistent server availability. I thought developing companies were past this amateurism.

My only advice to Square Enix is that they wouldn't want to start charging subscriptions while their server architecture is in this state!

Hmm I have multiple characters in multiple worlds, one in each region. I have never once since the server maintenance, had any trouble logging into any of them. Even during "primetimes"

never had a 1017 since wed. *shrug*

Sounds like either (1) they didn't cap character creation soon enough or (2) people are still too paranoid to log out (or maybe a combination).

Wow, a bout of 30 minutes of constant tapping focusing on the screen and I'm finally back in. I better not 90000. :(

it's a combination of AFK logers (option 2) and an unhealthy ammount of spambots. The servers are already enough rammed up with the first bunch, and the seconrd bunch is trash data.

I have to admit, I giggled at his posts. While they were crude n' rude, he's just being the martyr in a way. His frustrated cussings are really just the anthem of the rage we all feel when we stare at our monitors and slam 0 like we just used our MNK's 2HR. For 30 minutes. Don't deny it. After >10 minutes of 1017 and beyond, you got pretty damn frustrated.

But I won't be the one to bring that frustration here, and neither will you. But we both feel it, don't deny it. And while many people aren't experiencing 1017 anymore, many still are. And you remember how it was. You understand.

In all honesty, they should have had scaling servers to begin with. Think of it as an overflow tank. When one or more servers experience maximum capacity, there can be a rack that takes the load so people can still login. Also, admit it, the queue should not be the way it is. It's a poor way to handle it, they are shooting themselves in the foot. Who cares if the queue reaches the thousands? I can watch my damn movie and get some damn coffee. None of this fighting with tooth and nail for my place in line. Watch out fellow 1017'ers, I carry a KBAR. Get out of my way.

As for the AFK timer? Yeah, they didn't plan for that and it's reasonable that they didn't because there's some controversy over the use of one in the first place. But everything else after more of a decade of their experience with FFXI? There is just no excuse.

I dunno about you, but frustration with the game in no way calls for personal attacks on Yoshi. His blood sweat and tears are in this game, and he pulled it out of the dirt and made it a rising star. The technical snags are minor in the grand scheme of things and will be worked out soon enough.

Meh it dose not bother me because i have other things i can do if i cant get on ff-xiv, peace of advice don't sit there spamming it just leave it and try again in the morning eventually yoshi-p and his team will sort it out and 1017 will be a thing of the past

Annnnd another 90k 60 minutes later. Annnnd more 1017. After 2 weeks, my patience is running thin. Very thin. Remember that game from your childhood, thin ice? Yeah.

Worst part is I'm hopelessly addicted. Makes it all that much more frustrating.

Same for me, still getting too much error 1017 on Aegis during Japanese peak time.
(Which also happens to be the only time I can play.)

Honestly, just give us a free server transfer and I'll be happy to move to the lowest populated server. I'm just too tired of these errors 1017...

Same with me. I havent had a single login issue since the maintenance.

Although it's just my luck that by saying that I've probably just jinxed myself.

Only the JP Datacentre appears to be getting 1017 errors. Just looking through this thread you can see that everyone who is complaining about 1017 is on JP, and everyone who says they've never had it since Wednesday is on NA.

Haven't gotten that since Wednesday on Adamantoise.

Ultima server, 2 A.M. Central time. Must be prime playtime in Japan, because it took me thirty minutes to log in.

you are really lucky, ultima as well and being trying for the past 2h with no success, got in queue only twice in this time and got booted out of queue all the time..
