Why Can't We...

Kick a person when they log off while you are still trying to finish the dungeon? it's happened twice now.
They "have to leave" so they just log off while still in the group and you can't get a replacement or kick them so that ends the dungeon run.
Am i missing something? Also is there a way to talk to LS or FC members while in a dungeon?
Seriously, why can't we send a /tell or talk to members of our FC or LS while in a dungeon??
If there is a way, please enlighten me.

The not being able to send or receive a tell while in a an instance is totally bizarre to me and i cant even look at the FC or LS list? This is one change that has to happen. It's like they made this awesome game and purposely put in stupid restriction's so the game wouldn't be perfect. I don't get SE's logic.

No clue why the kick function isn't in the game but then again, it not being in the game also prevents parties of three to vote kick the one random that they are running together with when they reach the end of a dungeon or boss fight. Then theirs the in-ability to tell someone or talk to your linkshell and FC could be due to going into dungeons with players from other servers as well or its a way to keep players from getting distracted during dungeon runs.

The reason you can't access chats or FC lists and the such while in an instance, is because you've been moved to another server temporarily for that dungeon. This is what the duty finder does, that way the server running the world doesn't have to process all of the instances going on.

There should be a vote/kick option at the very least though, due to many dungeons becoming impossible with only three people.

If you could kick people, Duty Finder party leaders would go on a kicking spree until they got someone in excellent gear.

Re-do your run.

I once saw a party member apparently disconnect, and in a short while the game asked if I'd like to try to find another member for the duty. We chose to do so, and within a short time, we had a new member.

I think I'm the only one in our group that saw that message or got that option though, which seemed odd to me; maybe I was our party's leader.

Anyway, perhaps the game handles disconnects differently than logouts?
I'm not sure why it should though.

Well its either you speak with them privately about how to dodge fire or call them out in front of everyone about their inability to dodge fire. Regardless of what your intention of sending someone a tell is, its unacceptable to restrict something like this in an MMO.

As for the vote kicking goes, we need it. I dont want to play the waiting game when the tank decides to go afk because he doesn't like the way we are dressed. Taking the 15min penalty for leaving and then waiting another 30 for duty finder to pop back up as dps just because we cant kick a single person that decides to go afk and/or d/c and continue our run.

I don't get what you'll are meaning by you can't talk to ur fc or ls friends when in dungeons. I am constantly switching between talking with my party and ls/fc people. I can't access te ls/fc lists but I can still talk to them. I haven't tried tell so I'm not sure about that one for me. Also you don't have to have a full team for dungeons if you know how to work ur class well. I have ran multiple two and three man runs after someone has left and we still beat it without te full party.

Yes and no.

Yes, this is the base reason. The real reason is that SE refuses to implement the extra measures that allow you to see the FC list/guild list. Since you can communicate with them, seeing the list is feasible. Your client just needs to maintain a separate connection to your home server, something it is already apparently doing since we can communicate with FC and G.

Why do you all need to see your LS/FC in the middle of an instance? I actually didn't know it stopped from loading because... I've never needed to look.
