Behemoth/Odin/NMs should NOT pop after 12. It's ruining our health and bodies.

So let's get this straight: You got some NMs on 48~72 hour respawn times, so you don't know when they spawn but you need to get them to stay on par with the tokens. You wait all night til 4AM and go to bed figuring they wont spawn, wake up and found out they spawned at 5AM. This is what happened on Hyperion just last late night (or very early morning, depending on how you want to look at it). Both Odin and Behemoth spawned 30 minutes apart at 2AM server time (5AM for us east coasters). Only people who don't sleep got to challenge him. When I woke up, I was physically sick and ill from staying up so late with the hope of challenging them. And now I have to wait 48 hours and stay up all night and damage my body further just to be able to have another shot at it.

This is only encouraging people to ruin their sleep schedules and stay up all night and pay attention to the game undivided and never sleep just to get to challenge some of your only unique endgame content. Ruining their health as well, and mine. I think they should immediately implement a restriction so that NMs only spawn during healthy hours. People should not have to risk their health just to play what little there is of your endgame. NMs should only be spawning from the morning to midnight, no earlier and no later. Say 6AM ~ 12AM would be fine. That's 18 hours, let people sleep for the other 6.

But then again, people with different time zone will QQ as well if their time is not on par with boss spawns.

Not everyone lives in your timezone. They're trying to make it so there won't be people who have to stay up all night to get it. If it spawns when you're on, cool. If not, oh well. There will be other chances. If a few horns is ruining your life, you may want to reevaluate your priorities. The gear you get from the tokens is worse than dungeon gear anyways. Only time you'll use them is once vanity slots are added.

Anyone else here an old enough MMO veteran to remember having to multi-day camp various things in EverQuest? I do... guess the newer generation of MMO'ers can share the experience now. ;)

They should spawn at a decent time for the server's region. If it's NA, it should spawn for NA. If it's EU, then it should spawn for EU. Equality be damned, people on an NA server shouldn't have to do things at EU times.

If you can't handle staying up till 4am maybe you should just ya know not do it. But then again self control is a pretty foreign concept these days.

Server location and server region are not the same thing. The servers are located in Canada, but any FFXIV player from around the world is welcome to play on them if they wish.

What is this? If your staying up till all hours of the night for a game..than you have a problem. Perhaps its time to start consulting someone for help with video game addiction or something.

Any rational individual should be able to make the smart decision and bring their butt to bed when they have business to take care of. I agree that maybe it needs to be spread out more so that ALL time zones can see some action..but staying up and not sleeping is entirely on you and not SE.

There are those who have their sleep schedules flipped from other Americans to take into consideration, then. Not everybody sleeps 12-6am. There's also the Oceanic people who do not have any specified servers.

Even though it was it was very early in the morning my time, 5am, when Behe spawned this morning and when Odin spawned the other day, the boss was still derendering because there was too many people there. There's obviously enough people playing at any time currently.

NA servers should be time centered around NA play times. There is no excuse for needed content to spawn at 4am.

This isn't everything revolves around America time....

They are NA servers for a reason. Same goes for the other regional servers.

what SE should do, is introduce a Addiction Hotline. So people like this can get better control of their life and understand you don't HAVE to stay awake all night to catch a glimpse of something.

People have different playtime's it's not just your play time that matters. Imagine a swing.

Out of curiosity, what do you NEED the bosses for? What content are they barring your level 40 lancer from, even once you do hit 50? It takes one kill to get the stupid helmet you will wear once before realizing you can not wear it for hard modes.

if staying up is "Ruining your body" then you have more problems then mob spawn times. complain all you want this is the company that allowed Argus to have a 36hour spawn window in ff11. they make this HNM's for a reason. dont complain because it isnt daily content, dont complain because you want your shinies right now and maybe someone else got it because they wanted it more/could afford to wait for it. THIS is how FF MMO content works, suck it up or ship out.

If you can not be a responsible adult and put yourself to bed at a reasonable time then you should probably stop playing MMO's in the first place. If you aren't an adult your parents need to whip your ass and remove any chance of you getting on the PC after your bed time. Other than that, not everyone works a 9-5 and have a chance of them spawning for 2nd and 3rd shifters to get them makes sense. Not everything revolves around self entitled asshats.

Odin and Behemoth drop vanity gear, the real question is why is anyone staying up for it. Really..... the gear is horrible compared to everything else around that level, company gear included.

The time makes it so everyone anywhere can kill it. And being a NA server means nothing.You have Australia, Europe, and NA on these servers... and probably dozens more. People need to deal with it, if it pops when you are on kill it, if not do something that is more worth your time anyways.

OH and it is not the game or company's fault if you get yourself sick. IF anyone gets sick over staying up for a video game, they need to get serious medical help.

People need to learn self control I guess, the PW fight in XI that was in the news is an example.

The PW fight is always brought up in these arguments. The low level endgame ls in XI that tried to kill PW that got in the news... yea it was 100% their fault they should of realized after hour 5 or 6... "hey we might not be geared enough to kill this". PW and AV were intended for those with the best of the best gear to keep them striving for something. Not being elitest, that was thier purpose... they were the true end of the game after you got everything else. The equivalent in XIV ARR would be a party of people wearing level 20 gear and weapons trying to kill Titan Hardmode and failing nonstop for 24hrs and raging it is SE's fault someone ended up sick.

this is one of the reason why i never bothered with NMs in ff11. these kinds of spawns are just annoying and meaningless. for those of you who have no life and/or jobs, please, by all means wait up till whenever to kill these Fates.

You have bigger problems with your life and body than NM pop times if this happened to you.

Also: You're not the only person on your server, and your time zone isn't the only one in existence. Take your self important attitude elsewhere, tarrar.

SE kept the worst parts of FF11 into their remake of FF14?

Make them pop more often for fun, but keep a silly limit that you can only get the drop reward once every 24 hours, all problems solved.

Wait, when did Odin/Behemoth become NEEDED content? I know people who have cleared all HM Primals that haven't beaten Odin/Behemoth, let alone seen them. Sure it'd be cool to encounter them, but I don't think in anyway they are actually needed outside of one's need to be handed gear/tokens for being a part of a zergfest.

Also, for the sake of argument, wouldn't shift workers play outside of the 'normal' NA hours, but still actually be a part of the NA population? Egocentrism at it's finest.

Just make spawn times random, so they can spawn at any time of the day of any time zone...?

A couple solutions could be:
1. Like in 1.0 Dodore spawned to weather conditions, meaning you would usually wait, sometimes even a few hours but eventually you would be able to fight him
2. Set timestamp in your character config and go to bed in zone. At the least you can look back in your log to get a idea from shouts when it will spawn again, i did this many times in FFXI
