So, I was sitting at Svara when I noticed a party of 8 archers warping to mobs.
How is that even possible to hack?
I hope SE squashed the bot stuff early, can ruin an economy quick.

I've had conversations with this person and I know they also craft and sell stuff on market board because I've seen their name on other people's gear. I've reported them in-game twice now, here's some evidence, though.
Sigh... Doesn't take these losers long, does it? :\ Come on SE.
Just report it and S-E will take care of it in time. No need to take "evidence" vids or screens, post it on the forums or any other such nonsense.
This is more than likely a simple speed-hack, the oldest MMO hack in the books. They are usually extremely easy for devs/GMs to track, spot, detect, research and prove. They'll be banned for this in time I'm certain. S-E has never been one to spare the ban-hammer for the slightest offenses in the past. Surprised someone is so willing to risk multiple accounts to play with their speed hack nonsense.
Edit:
To the below post:
They have access to the server logs. Primarily of interest would be character movement log data or invalid/illegal movement flags. This is what devs will need, this is what will help devs. Literally nothing else is useful or helpful to them in any way. No video of a character teleporting around will assist a GM gathering evidence for a ban or coders attempting to seal a security hole. They can replicate the video themselves easily if they like by simply utilizing the existing info in their DB. I agree and sympathize with the desire to assist, but this is one case in which the best way to assist is to simply point out the user and be as descriptive of the date/time and possibly area in which the activity occurred. Anything else is needless overkill.
I think having actual video evidence of what it going on will actually help them put an end to whatever it is. I'm not sure why you would suggest that people don't go out of their way to actually help fix the issue with solid proof of what SE should be looking for.
Hi, slightly off-topic here - Is there a way for crafters to sign items they create with their name? This would be a cool feature but I haven't heard of this being implemented in the game. Could someone elaborate? The above quote mentions seeing the crafter's "name on other people's gear" so this caught my attention.
uh are you sure those people or you aren't just lagging? if you're experiencing high lag, people can easily appear to be warping around.
Its really hard to stop bots these days in MMO's, the hax/bot tech is always advancing faster than companies can defend against it. The sad truth is that most get away with it.
That's so cool, but so not cool at the same time. :(
Heh, mining like that sure is fast...this will certainly ruin the economy. But wait, I'm sure someone will come to their defense along the illegal immigrant farm worker defense "But if the bots didn't do the job, the price of our ore will increase!"
I think anything we craft in ARR will automatically have our names at the bottom of the item. I'm seeing this even on random items parts I craft lol

wow those 2 videos are crazy. report them!
There was a program that was developed in P3-4. It is the equivalent to XI's Clipper and spread around on Guildwork and stuff. What is does is gives a speed and position hack and SE needs to do something about this, it ran rampant on XI for many year and still is ; ;.
Thing is, when other people lag you will not see it in an obvious manner, when you are lagging people will teleport around or everything will move in fast forward. The only obvious instance of someone else lagging is them running slower even with sprint or getting stuck in midair as they jump.
What gets me is that people buy their gold and services which is why they are still prominent in MMOs because it's a lucrative business.
Wonder if SE could write their own script or w/e they're called which detects this and instead of warping them to where the botter wants to go it warps them to goal. Goal with lvl 99 mobs as cell mates.
about 6 botter teleporting around on Svara fate area right now on Siren server
Not noticed anyone botting yet but watched some videos, its terrible that they let this go on.
