I want to see implementation of being able to stay in ques while using your chocobo companion for fighting.
Yes please.
Agreed!
Would really love to see this implemented
Why can't I speak to people while on my chocobo? Why can't i accept a transport while on my chocobo? Why cant i go right into an attack while on my chocobo; it should automatically dismount me. It is annoying that i have to dismount to do anything when I am riding this ferocious beast. Fix this please!!
This pisses me off to no end too, as dps if i want to do anything im looking at 1+hour long ques, that's ALOT of potential chocobo exp and makes it much slower to kill these 45+ quest mobs that now outlevel me due to bad quest pacing.
Adding my vote for this. Please allow me to use my chocobo companion while queuing. I realize that me and my chocobo are effectively in a party, but couldn't a few lines of code be added that auto-dissolved the party once an opening for a dungeon was found?
Agree, no point in making it take you out of que or not be able to mount with it out.
I don't see how anyone could argue this is a bad idea.
Even worse, if you accidentally summon your chocobo as a companion (either a misclick/fat fingered key or just plain not thinking of it), the game kicks you out of your duty finder queue with no warning. If SE isn't willing to let you use your bird while in a queue, at least add a confirmation window so this doesn't happen.
you cant even invite someone with chocobo into your party
The fundamental problem is that the game treats Chocobos as party members instead of summoned pets. I don't know why they thought this was appropriate, but it very much isn't, and if that was corrected (with the same coding added to ban them from dungeons the way they are banned from towns) this problem wouldnt exist.
while you're at it, let me summon my chocobo if im using a different mount!
Chocobos aren't treated as pets likely because the game cannot handle more than 1 pet at this time. So there could be problems if say a summoner gets a fairie plus chocobo.
Anyway, please add chocobo use while in queues asap!! The same goes for being in a party. Just auto-kick the player once he enters the queued event. Easy.
Definite feature for the very next patch!!
I agree as well. Some players rely on Chocobos to assist them in completing quests. It should be a simple fix to allow automatic dismount as well as chocobos during queue.
The fact that you can't use chocobos in towns baffles me. I'm in town like 95% of the time I'm online!
i totally agree, you should be able to que while having your companion with you
also i bought the collectors edition, and i must say that i was a bit upset, to find out that i still have to buy a mount in the game, when i already have one i paid RL cash for, to make matters worse the oh so special mount i get from collectors edition, cant become a companion for me... its basically useless
last but by no mean least, why the H cant i ride my mount after it has helped me fight? its running around next to me wearing a nice comfortable saddle but can i ride it? NO
The reason they're not treated as summoned pets is because you can only have one summoned pet out at a time. Arcanist/Scholar/Summoner would not be able to summon anything with a chocobo companion active if they were considered pets. They also have a different control system in place because they sort of level up and have differing abilities instead of using the pet bar and simply being what level you are and using a small list of abilities.
Yeah, This I'd like to see. Let me use my Coerl@aun%ah$grt (no clue how to spell that Cat thing still), or my Unicorn, or my Magitek armor with my chocobo out.
is there a way to use chocobo skills manually ?
agreed, a rather simple solution
Agreed... dps wait times without choco use is pretty suck
Bump for righteousness.
Chocobo allowed while in line for the DF.
Ability to use another mount while my chocobo is fighting with me.
