Just.. why? and what other encounters were nerfed into the ground????
It wasn't that difficult to begin with. What exactly changed? Don't leave us hanging...
They changed it so he only does the 4 ahnk thing once at 20% hp, and the lasers do greatly reduced dmg. The ahnks also seem to have less hp
Yeah noticed there were some changes to some stuff, for example overall a lot of dungeon monsters and sub bosses seem to have less HP or the people I end up with in DF have gotten extremely better..
Need to nerf the damn relic chimera. That fight is pissing me off lol
are you saying DF mode was nerfed?
or hard mode?
DF being nerfed is good for buisness - the casuals can use DF to their hearts content
if its hard mode that was nerfed, that could mean that very FEW were able to do it so far...
Why would they nerf Sunken Temple's last boss? He was basically just a mechanic fight.
Now, Cutter's Cry and its first boss probably does need a nerf.
Seemed the same yesterday, maybe people are just getting used to it and knowing what to do now?
Well damn, was this just implemented in at patch that came with the server upgrades? Kinda disappointing even though Qarn was sooo frustrating at times!
Seems like it was yesterdays patch that things got nerfed in. :<
Is there any confirmation or... people just guessing?
did qarn first time last night, that final boss did his quad lazer attack 3 times before we finally wiped, second attempt, he got off 2 before people finally got themselves killed and we wiped at 1% hp.
Third attempt we spanked him so hard he only got one quad lazer attack off before he went down.
Always some assholes who QQ because it isnt so hard only 1% can get it done. Who freaking cares if its nerfed?
LMAO, casuals already on their way to ruining content, get in before they nerf it to the ground people! Lowest common denominator here we come!
Because nothing worth doing is easy. It takes the satisfaction out of beating it. This is why Dark Souls is so popular of a game, because there is GREAT satisfaction in beating the bosses instead of snoring yourself to death.
Herein lies the problem. Everything that is "fun" in life has some degree of difficulty. If it was as simple as thinking it and you get it, it wouldn't be fun would it? No. Of course the level of difficulty desired by different people is subjective. This is the argument many of us gamers from back in the day (Before WoW) use to say that you people don't really like video games. I can't really say why you like them, but if you did like them, you would seek challenges in them, instead of seeking to be handed everything on a silver platter.
Think of photography, if you go out and snap a random photo without trying, you will likely take a crappy photo that no one cares about. Taking a good photo takes time and effort, and a degree of knowledge. If you were just handed great photo's it wouldn't be very fun or satisfying would it? It would also diminish the power of good photo's since all photo's would be good.
So before you bash on more hardcore (term used for original gamers, nothing hardcore about it at all), understand they want difficulty because they actually like video games.
Also, let's not forget that your statement in general terms means "wah, I can't beat it on the first attempt". Everyone can beat it, you just don't want to try because you don't actually like video games, you find the difficulty in video games an annoyance. Think about it.
0 confirmation on the nerf. I ran it last night and didn't notice any difference. Sometimes if you're with better DPS it seems nerfed but in reality probably wasnt.
I did it and got hit with double quad lasers on the last fight, so it definitely uses them more than once. I also did it twice as a WHM and the first time my party was taking SIGNIFICANTLY less damage than the second. We're talking regen basically keeping them up the first, and Cure spam, regen, medica often on the second.
It definitely felt like a good party makes a massive difference. I wouldn't be all that confident in saying it's changed unless you used the same party, equipment, everything before and after the patch.
I don't know the truth to it, but this was an OPTIONAL dungeon. The last thing I expected to get a nerf.
A lot of the players I've been stuck with in DF would not support that theory, heck this morning I tanked a garuda (lvl 44 one) fight and the lvl 44 ACN (yup didn't have scholar or summoner unlocked) used topaz on Garuda and full time dps'd her while ignoring plumes. I'll also add to stave off any questions: I had full control of Garuda and kept her in the right place... the ACN was simply derpworthy.
