Least played class?

Hey

I like to play classes that are uncommon..what's the most popular class in the game so i can avoid?

Right now it's easily Arcanist.

prolly any of the tank classes seems tanks r a rare class atm :p

Tank classes are always the least common. Either that or maybe bard, havent seen many of them around tbh

Yean in Limsa Lominsa there are a ton of Arcanist. I think Tanks are the least played class in the game right now.

warriors and pally right? what about bards...i like hybrid classes that can dps/support..sacrifice a bit of dps for utility..are paladins like tanks who can heal?

By tanks do you guys mean Axe?

I haven't seen a monk at all.

I dunno how I'll make it to SCH, ACN itself bores me to hell.

The server I am on (Behemoth) is over run with Arcanists.
I have seen the fewest of Monk and Black Mages followed by Bards.

I Just recently unlocked my Bard and am loving it.

I'd like to see more new people lots of 50 lvl players

I hate to say it but I think I wanna switch to jp world no one knows how to play as a team on euro or american multiplayer games. Fucking Call of DOODY!

hehe.. depends.. i love acn and sumn while i find weaponcarrying melee and archers boring :D

...and to each his own....I was really getting pissed that I had to level PUG in order to unlock my BARD JOB and ended up liking the class a lot...I have learned how to play it through 15 and I may just end up at some point making MONK my second Main JOB after I do it all with BARD. I think tanking looks too complicated but it may actually be fun to play now that I have seen some other play styles...never thought I would.

Definitely marauder or pugilist. I've seen maybe 1 or 2 others of those running DF.

Monk could be a dodge tank. That would give people slightly more options. I pla pug with the intention of playing monk.

From what I have seen, I see fewer tanks on Exodus. Usually you see a bunch in the lower levels. But once you get into the 20+ level area, it is mostly DPS classes. I see a lot of PUGs and Lancers. Same with Arcanist and Black Mages.

Arcanist currently has a buzz of popularity at the moment.

If you're a Tank you will most likely get into the Duty Finder within the matter of seconds.
As a DPS class I have to wait 30 sometimes 45 minutes in order to get into an instance.

Hey! I agree that arcanist is definitely most overplayed. And tanks are clearly least played when considering duty finder queues. However, I've seen fewer monks than anything else in the open world. And on my server bards arent underplayed. They seem to hit pretty damn hard.

you can never go wrong with a tank but stay away from archer

I'm with you on that one. This is also one of the reasons you see fewer tanks in this and any of a number of games.

That being said, I've had some really great groups, mainly people speaking Portuguese or German.

I would say Tanks..If you've played enough mmo's you'd know that Tanks would be the least played class due to how slow they are..

Role - Class (Jobs)
Tanks - Marauder & Gladiator (Warrior & Paladin)
Healer - Conjurer (White Mage & Scholar)
Damage Mage - Thaumaturge & Arcanist (Black Mage & Summoner)
Damage Ranged - Archer (Bard)
Damage Melee - Pugilist & Lancer (Monk & Dragoon)

The least played Roles tend to be Tanks and Healers. They are the 'Responsibility' Roles

Paladin seems the rarest so far. Could be different servers.

I am glad my best friend is playing Maurder/Warrior. We get into dungeons within seconds of hitting the que. I will admit that I am a Arcanist/Summoner and I love the whole dot/pet class aspect. Was my intended class from the very beginning. That is unless they release a Tamer/Blue Mage class.

Anyways, in my starting town of Limsa Lominsa I did see tons of other Arcanists, but now that I have broken away from the starting zones I see less and less.

I tried arcanist for a couple hours ...just because I knew Id start out in Limsa..I didn't like it at all. So I deleted and came back as a gladiator. Haven't tried that one yet, since my maurader and lancer are more inviting to me.

does anyone know what is the least played DPS? monk or black mage?

Think you missed what Johnist meant. Every part of the party is important that's clear. We lack tanks and healers because they are the bread to the DPS sandwich, its takes more skill ensuring your party doesn't wipe - hence the responsibility roles comment. As a DPS, yes there are a few things to keep an eye on and do, but the roles of tank and healer require much more thinking, planning and executing then that of DPS classes. Plus people like to see big numbers when they are killing stuff over healing or watching threat meters. Not many DPS get blamed for a run wipe do they?

I'd say healers but there are actually quite a few. It just seems like there isn't a lot because they are in such high demand they are always doing something. Tanks are indeed the least common, gladiators mostly. I almost never see them in open world but then again they have near instant queues and if I could dungeon spam I would. Ironically gladiators are also the most commonly poor played class. Meaning most gladiators I party with are absolutely horrible. Everytime I get one who can't hold aggro or doesn't mark etc... makes me facepalm and want to roll a gladiator just to see it done right.
