No AFK timer + No logout = GG

Well, it looks like the no AFK timer thing is starting to bite SE in the ass.

If they'd done this like everyone suggested originally, we wouldn't be having these problems with 3102 and characters not logging out.

Looks to me like SE could kill two birds with one stone right now.

I'm not sure I see the correlation.

AFK auto-kick shouldn't be a permanent feature. I prefer to play a MMO with people in towns, AFK or not.

just increase the server capacity should be ok.

To be honest I think an auto afk should be standard with any MMO game. Set it and forget it.

I plan on not logging out once I get past the 1017 monster that is still around. Because I pay to play not to sit in log in

Off-topic, I like your signature Crystallus.

They don't need AFK timers. AFKers are not significant enough to have a major impact on people's ability to log in. Period. Plain and simple.

Server capacity has been substantially increased, and it is much easier to log in now that the 3102 thing has been resolved. No AFK timer is needed nor should one ever be implemented.

Absolutely not. People pay for their game time, they're entitled to do whatever they want with it within the rules of the game. Properly set up servers should not have any issue housing the number of people that want to be online, regardless of what they're doing.

Besides, as other people mentioned, any person with any sense can just set up a keyboard macro to avoid getting kicked.
