Crashing While teleporting + More

Hey guys, I have been having problems while teleporting around. The majority of times I crash during, or right after. It's a window crash, not an in-game error. Happens all the time, and it drops me out of queues of course. I occasionally crash by just running around in game, the game would randomly drop to like 2FPS and crash. This doesn't happen in dungeons or instances of any kind.

I'm running crossfire, and at the lowest and max settings this happens. So I know at least it's not that the computer can't handle it. (Running smooth FPS at max settings.) I'm running newest Beta 2 drivers as well, and all that good stuff, though I have tried the non-beta drivers as well. If anyone has any idea how to fix it that would be awesome. I've been trying to find a solution since Phase4, where it wasn't nearly as bad but it happened, with no luck. I have even tried to reinstall the Client and the entire OS just to see if it could fix it. If anyone has any possible solutions that would be awesome. Thanks!

you're not alone. pretty common problem.
driver failure, windows crash, BSOD, etc....no solution yet. and no support from SE's side too.
hopefully they'll get to it when they fix the server issues

I have gotten this issue a few times also, game would drop to 2-3 FPS then sometimes recover, other times it lags then crashes, but for the most part it crashes on TPing to different zones.

Well it's good to hear I'm not the only one with this problem. Doesn't make the situation any better unfortunately. Here's hoping this server update will fix this issue, or at least make it far less frequent!

I get TONS of crashes. I get crashes when my game is trying load, I get crashes when I teleport, etc. I could go on.

Same, 2 fps before teleport and crash :/

Damn, unfortunately with this new update to the servers they didn't fix the crashing issue. Actually before I could just try to relog right away and if there was no 1017 then I'd get in immediately. Now I get 3102 for a bit. So this is like it made it worse for people that are crashing. :(

I have had a crash with teleporting 3 times now. As the animation starts the graphics go real slow and timelapse like then windows reports ffxiv has stopped working

Yup, my exact issue. Guess it wasn't resolved at all. Really sucks. I've sent a tech support ticket to SE, still waiting on a reply. Hopefully they can at least recommend something, though I'm not keeping my hopes up on that.

Are you running AMD or Nvidia drivers? I'm running Nvidia with GTX 670 and absolutely no problems. In fact, I've never even seen the game crash before.

However, if you're running AMD drivers, I won't be surprised you're having crashing issues, especially since you're going Crossfire. AMD always have issues with new games and their drivers are known to bug with new games ALL THE TIME (I had the AMD 6950 Crossfire & 7970 before). On top of that Crossfire bugs out on so many titles it's almost ridiculous on AMD's part. It's got to the point where I only trust single-GPU solutions now, which is why I'm running a single Nvidia 670, and had no problems anymore, in any game, ever.

I can almost guarantee everyone here in this thread has an AMD card and driver.

I have always had AMD cards, and this is the first game that has this issue I've ever played. Also, I know people with Nvidia cards that have this issue as well.

I'm running a GTX 670 as well and I'm not the only one with a 600-700 series card having problems with FFXIV. I've tried the 326.41 beta driver and the 320.49 release driver. I'm now re-downloading the FFXIV client to see if a fresh install helps. I won't know if it works until I get home from work, but I'll probably try the 314.22 driver and the 326.80 driver if it doesn't.

The crashes are especially bad looking out into the ocean in Limsa Lominsa, which is where I'm logged out now (crashes in under 2 minutes without fail). It's not my CPU, GPU or RAM. It's not a temp problem or anything else. I keep my PC very clean and am not having trouble running any other game. Consensus is that it's a driver issue and SE needs to work with Nvidia to get this fixed.

I would say don't bother, I've tried different drivers, so did my nvidia friend. I've also completely reinstalled the entire OS and everything in hopes of it fixing it, with no luck. This is completely SE issue, they need to fix it.

Has anyone managed to find any new information on this? Or perhaps a solution? Even after the server update this hasn't done anything. And I would say it's happening more, but that's probably because I can actually play more often.
