New Server Community!

Moving to a new server when it comes online? Are you, like I am, doing it partly to choose a different race? Different name? Hopes of beating the 1017? ^^

Post if you're making a new character; what you'll do different if anything.

Additionally, through various other forums, we have started getting names of people who want to help build a Free Company, and everything else that comes with it - friendships, teams, and community. If you're interested in that as well, let me know!

Yea, I'm re-rolling to change a bit up about how I made my character. I'm deciding between an Elezen and a Lalafel. I'd also be interested in joining a FC on one of the new servers :). Do we know how many servers they are going to add?

If I go to another server, the one thing I would do differently is to save all my leve allowances for tradeskills. I learned too late that I can save over 100k per trade if I just do the repeatable "craft 3 items 3 times" from the adventurers guild.

I dont want to ditch my FC but I am getting very far behind in gear due to not being able to connect for 3 days.

When you move can you delete your old characters if you do not intend to use them again please. We need more room! ^^

Edit for clarity: When you start a new character could you please delete your old characters if you do not intend to use them again. We need more room! ^^

Yeah you can delete them.

I'm thinking about re-rolling a Roegadyn.

I made an account on reddit just for the ffxiv page - I understand people don't have an account or may dislike the reddit community, etc.
If they post server names prior to maintenance we can choose then - open to everyone's suggestions! ;)

I would also be interested in re-rolling on a new server. Will be going with a Lancer ---> Dragoon to start things out. Hopefully we'll have the new server(s) name(s) before too long, so that we can coordinate things.

I would not roll a Summoner. XD Sounded more fun on paper then it really is.

Yup, no more smn for me either. Just did not like the dot mechanic or pets that much.

Well, we all joined the new server, made our Linkshell - Chocobo Knights - and have also created our FC - Chocobo Knights <Choco>
