Servers are up however it took me 4 hours 15 minutes to get in, hopefully after the maintenance all will be fixed.

Currently the queue system only supports 300 people. If you're number 300 and up, you get 1017 error.
Most servers have far more than 300 people trying to login at any given time, so its a question of luck, really. -

The game works, there are just a ton of connection issues. You will not regret the wait once you actually get in.

I can assure you it isn't just you. I will attempt to log in and the start button isn't lit up and when it is I get a couple of attempts to try to log in before it kicks me due to full world and then can't load my character so I am forced to back out and try again. I gave up. Time to go back to Assassins Creed or Last of Us until this gets a little better. They are adding more worlds starting tomorrow Sept. 3rd 3am to Sept. 4th 5pm? I think is what it said. Let's just hope they don't make us pay for this game until the bugs are fixed in it because I won't pay for a game I have to wait 4hrs to log into. I know SE can do it FFXI didn't have this issue with too many people.
