Reading the notices on the homepage and in the forums is a great place to start before nagging in a forum.
They are installing new world tomorrow and working to resolve the log in issue. They are also gifting everyone with 7 days of playtime.
no one whining because it been a long weekend and not once since i got the game have i been able to login and enjoy. I am beyond whining im pissed. Thank you
No its a gift. If you read the TOS/EULA not just here but any monthly subscription game it states in laymans terms that they basically do not have to give you the time back you paid for. So by them giving everyone 7 days time its a gift. It would be considered a refund if anyone and everyone was not able to log in while some people can its not refunded time its gifted.
You're assuming the addition of new servers will resolve this problem. By reading other posts in the forum, you'll be able to see that their proposed solutions are unlikely to be successful.
Additionally, they have not "gifted" 7 days of playtime. By the time this fix is implemented, it will have been a week since the game launched. The only reason the devs are "considering" giving players an extra seven days is to avoid the legal repercussions of falsely advertising 30 free days of gameplay.

It's not falsely advertising as your game time clocks down from the moment you sign up. It's that way with EVERY online game. There would be no legal rammifications especially if they are working towards a resolution like they are.
Then people like yourself, being negative nancies, the biggest problem of this whole ordeal are so pessimistic that you feel that their attempts of implementing a resolution will fail. Perhaps you need to stop seeing your life as half full.
Again, please read the linked post prior to commenting.
Nevertheless, it is not pessimism which drives my thought process, but rather observation on the manner in which SE has handled the current situation. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it, and given the countermeasures that SE has described, it will not be enough to counter the problems that they are currently experiencing. All that is happening right now is immediate reaction without planning or forethought, and problems will continue to arise as a result.
To be optimistic without evidence, and in fact, with significant evidence to the contrary, is simply delusion.
If the people that are complaining would quit the servers would not be full for us.
Okay again "Mr. Pessimist" Look at the tons of MMOs who have had starts not just new starts but expansions too. Everyone single one that has launched has had log in issues and every single company has done something to resolve the issue except money mongering Blizzard because they know that after the sizzle of something new wears down subs will luster out and there will be no issues. I was there during multiple new mmo launches, SWTOR, GW2, RIFT, I was there for GW1 launch, and many others and all the different companies were reeling trying to come up with solutions within the first hours and days. Rift I remember kept adding servers the more they would fill. So get over yourself dude they are working on it if they weren't there wouldn't be any updates, there wouldn't be any gifting of play time, there wouldn't be any new servers being installed or new hardware in their data centers. They would just tell you to screw yourself and let you spin on it.
