Ok I'm having some major problems with this quest. I'm at the part where I'm fighting in the graveyard. I've managed to stun the hundred fist move, but after that I can't get close to attack without taking major damage, I've tried this quest 8 times now, ready to give up and move on to different class. Do I just need to be at a higher level? I'm level 27 now.
I'll take any hints please,
This is the one with the pugilist duel right? If so I'm pretty sure she still uses 100 fists even after being stunned its like a non stop barrage of attacks. I would advise to keep a distance when she activates it till it stops. Also iirc there's a timer when the ability goes off under her hp bar so you can keep track of it.
I don't see any complication with the quest, succeeded the first time. I didn't worry much about the abilities of the enemy, just moved away of the area marked in red and that was it. I just bothered to Stun when I needed to heal a little using Cure or a Hi-Potion to have more time for doing that, and just needed to do that like 2 or 3 times.
Try again and don't lose hope. GLA is a great class and PLD too so keep trying and hopefully you will succeed.

This quest gave me trouble for a while - it basically comes down to having to avoid the AoE attack the PGL uses (Gutripper) so as to keep your HP at max at all times, so that you can survive Hundred Fists. When she goes all 'two hour' at about a quarter health left, this is where you have to keep spamming Shield Bash to stun her (it also does a fair amount of damage too). You'll probably just scrape across the line, but with a decent set of armour, sword and shield, and keeping your health up before she uses Hundred Fists, you should win the battle (battered and bruised though ;)).
Also I think Aldis was a douche for just standing there and just making snide comments about your 'progress'. ;)
I just lollygagged into this quest and got worked when she went all hundred fists. Went back for round two a little better prepared. She doesn't do much damage until she hits with Hundred Fists so I just saved my cooldowns till that point, and then burned her down. Food buffs and the Protect spell are always helpful.
I've tried it 3 more time with no success, I even bought megs-potions. I stunned her hundred fist but she still hits too hard and fast when she is low on health, and I can't do enough damage to her. I end up dead, :(

I am kinda a lousy player, just sorta react. I don't get the moving out of the way thing and I actually despise WASD. Didn't this control scheme go out about 1988? Anyway. This quest completely kicks my butt. I have now done it about ten times and get no where. Time to try another class.
But I still say that WASD is a pain in the, erm, bottom.
First time I went into this quest, I tried to curespam my way through Hundred Fists. Almost worked, too; I weathered the duration of the buff, but with very little hp and no mp left, I needed to get off a Riot Blade and then start curing again... which didn't quite happen.
Came back the second time, clicked off the echo buff, and burned my way through.
Heh, I kind of avoided the tanking mentality for this one. I ended up getting her down to a quarter health and then shield lobbed her to death while running in circles around the instance perimeter. Took a little longer, but she wasn't able to hit me. ;)
The first time I did this I was like "WTF??!!" when she did her attack and anhilated me.
So, second time I cleared it. Kinda a mix of what everyone says. When she starts her 100-fist, I popped all my CDs (i had used none of them prior) and ran around with Shield Lob and the odd Bash - felt brave, ran up to her, hit her, ran away :D.
I completed it with abut 15HP! hahaa!
It seems so wierd compared to the others - which make Tanking sense....
It does help to wait until level 26 when you get Rage of Halone. That's what I did and I passed it on the first try. I was probably wearing the best gear for that level, though, too, since GLD wasn't my first class.
Woof. This one was surprisingly brutal if you try to coast by. Got my clock cleaned the first two times because I didn't take the kitty seriously.
I ended up clearing it by casting protection before starting the fight, then opening with shield lob as she charged in. After that it was fight or flight + the riot blade combo while keeping up fracture on her. When she hulked out, it was convalescence + Bloodbath + Rampart. I tore her apart while her puny punches bounced off my armor like nerf balls. It was pretty awesome.
((Would have felt MORE awesome if she hadn't aced me two times in a row beforehand, but I can't help it if I get infinite continues.))

Multi-class skills are awesome.
This battle is basically a test of your stunning capabilities. I failed this fight two times before i realized what to do. She uses her "two hour" around the 40% mark of her hp. Fight however you want until you you see her start to cast Hundred Fists and then stun her. If you keep her from getting the cast off, she will not use it again, at least not before you have the time to finish her. i didn't even need fight or flight with this method. Hope this helps.
She shouldn't start activating it tilll she is around 20-10% hp. When she tries too, stun her then if you're gear is adequate enough and you use you're cool down buffs appropriately, she should go down with you still alive at the end. Basically, the fight is a DPS, timed cool down use and gear check if you follow my suggestion.
EDIT: And by timed cooldown, I mean you don't spend them all at once. Just spend them one at a time to mitigate the damage received. You should also have access to all other class skills so I would recommend just equipping anything that will buff you for the fight, defense, HP restoration (preferably second wind) and attack wise, which if you pop for the last part of the fight occasionally, will boost you're DPS dramatically and kill her faster.
