So my question is, how do u ppl earn Gil in the Endgame?
(tt: I know after Leveling u got around 200-250k Gil which seems reall fine for the starters and helps with repair bills, teleporting, crafting etc.)
Here comes the problem.
At Endgame, u did most of the Quest and got only some lowlevel zones where u diddn´t level your 1st and 2nd/3rd class so u won´t have any real good Gil income at all.
Dungeons: U die a view times or take dmg or whatever - u will have to repair with lvl50 Gear around 4000-6000Gil. (was 2/3 red and had to repair for 4k f.e.)
Dutyfinder: In primae fights the repair costs are lowered which helps at this point but still u loose something and need to repair.
Fates give u like 60Gil
Human NPCs give u 1 or 2 Gil
Leves get u only 400Gil or so on high leves, which u can only do 3 of every 11 hours so about 2400gil a day if u do your 6 levequests of your choice (battle, gathering, crafting)
Crafting: Yep u can farm all materials with like 5 different diciples of hand and land so it wont cost u a fortune.. but u can sell your crafted gear only for like 100-400Gil atmost - this will go down later on, cause ppl also start to craft and the market wirll end up at 25-30Gil for normal items.
So how can u sustain yourself at endgame? U need enough to repair your items, to get food, to travel and such vanity stuff - with like 3k income and min. 4000-6000k outcome on repair bills and teleports (yeah i know u can favourite 3 places and 1 homeplace, but it still costs gil)
And plz don´t say the only way is: gathering and selling those ores, or crafting and selling ingot for like 20gil... u get only 40 auction slots with 2 retainers. (and not many ppl buy 99" stacks)
So any help or suggestions are really welcome ;)

See those tin,silver, gold pieces you got at the end of quests? Yeah those, they are thrown at you if you do dungeons. Go farm dungeons.

The problem right now is players can not repair other players gear with dark matter. You can buy dark matter from the grand companies with GC marks instead of gil. In 1.0 they had a pretty nice repair system where you can put your gear up for repair and the crafter repairs it using your dark matter right out of your bag. You pay an automatic nominal fee per repair which would be 50 gil on grade 5 darkmatter repairs in current game currency to the crafter.

Farm mats (NQ/HQ) & sell them = $-$$
Craft HQ items & sell = $$$ <- Goldsmithing for jewelry and rings. Great for converting gear into materia and selling it. Matera grade 3 sells for 25k and Materia grade 4 sells from 30-50k on Balmung. (Usually Savage Might)
Sell materia = $$$
Sell sentinel gear or any other green gear from dungeons = $$-$$$ -

I think once people realize how precious Gil is they will change their play. Currently the Teleport Cost FC ability is hands down the best one but people continue to use the silly 5% combat exp. At the end game, right now it seems absolutely necessary to be able to repair your own equipment, which means 3 DoH jobs at least. 800gil v. 5000gil is a huge difference.
Once people start conserving money and picking the tin pieces, the economy will fluctuate.
Though IMO the gold (and exp) reward at the end of behests and dungeons should be increased slightly.
Actually 50 Tin is 1,250. You generally get 8 - 16 per run of a dungeon like Braxy. 50 Bronze is 5,000. 50 silver would be 25,000...Quote:

farm hippo skin in mor dhona, or snurble tufts from those tiny sheep like creatures, or crawler cocoon. I'm always buying those three. On my server, hippo skin - 700 gil per hide, snurble tuft thingy is like 1k, and crawler cocoon is 1.8k. Good luck!
edit: materia was the best gil maker in 1.0 for nongatherers
