Stop Buying Gil

This is when everyone needs to stand together and do what is right, Stop buying gil, bottom line. You see gil seller, you report and blacklist. send in a report with the website they are trying to sell from. But stop buying gil, you are only supporting them, allowing them to stick around.

Also, think about it, each Gil seller is taking up space on the worlds, along with their "farming" accounts. =)

depends on if the majority of players want/can afford to buy gil...

if you ban the majority if players, you dont have a game to sell anymore =P

Do people actually fall for that crap?

Why would you ever try to buy in-game money from someone?

Gil is so ridiculously easy to come by in this game, why someone would buy it is beyond me... :/

Sadly there will always be ppl that buy gil. Ofcourse they deny it. But as long as there is a market there is a sale. Its like drugs in the RL.

But do your best to report them, I would also recommend ppl write down chr name of the gil seller spammer, report him/her. Then wait a few days, do a search to c if player is banned or still shouting for gils on sale. Curious if they actually ban ppl now or not..

Some people think that it's ok to buy Gils, it is no hurting anyone. But the true is that it hurt everyone and especially the game. The more you buy and support them their number will grow bigger. Soon they will control the market, take your Quest spot camp, take all your world que, then you will be playing with Bots. Please think about your action before you support this kind of Gold Seller, do you want the Bot running the whole economy and the game?

And if a friend of you buys gil. Hides it for everyone. But if you figure it out, do you report him/her ? Many ppl are in this situation.. Even Linkshells

Remember way back in ffxi with the hacker that puplished the list of all the "Top Linkshell players" buying gil. Suddenly they wer'nt so "Top" anymore.. (he hacked a ilegal addon/mod ppl where using, and they had to pay to get the mod/addon, hacker got the list from the mod site , hacked it good hehe)

So most likely many of these "top" players are secretly buying gil to get where they are.... TRUST NO ONE!!! REPORT EVERYONE!!

XI had this problem, people would drive up prices on everything, then blame the "gil sellers". Players in forums demanding all jobs used only certain equips, which sold for INSANE prices. when faced with the prospect of farming for MONTHS for items you're told you cant level without or paying some shady website $20 people went for the website. (or like me, simply quit playing which is a lose for SE)

Undercut the market prices, dont let them control it and STOP TELLING PEOPLE THEY HAVE TO HAVE THE MOST EXPENSIVE STUFF SIMPLY TO LEVEL.

I had to make a seperate tab for tells, because of the incredible spam I recieved today. I find that blacklisting them is incredibly tedious. I cant rightclick the name and find the option to ignore or blacklist the person directly in the chat tab. I have to bring up the blacklist from maincommands, then type or copy paste the name to there. By the time I have done this, 3 new sellers have already spammed me.

I want an option to rightclick the name and blacklist them right on the spot. with 1 click.

Prices are ridiculous because the game is brand new. In about a month, things should level out. Some players are sensible and are selling components for what they are worth others..not so much, and there are players out there who will buy their products.In time, their prices will come down because more players will be selling their items and the overall price will drop with the competition.

Making a post asking people not to buy gil is a waste of time. People will always do it. Impatience and laziness run rampant in MMOs, which makes it an RMT buffet.

I'm not sure if this command exists in this game yet, since I haven't been able to play much since EA weekend, but you could try /blist add <playername>. They had this command in FFXI and FFXIV 1.0 if I'm not mistaken.

Aslong as the best gear comes from endgame (dungeons, raiding etc), including the best crafting materials then there wont be any sellers as there will be no market for it. The moment anything deemed "best in slot" comes from the overworld they will flood in and monopolize the system.
