First true test of healers in FFXIV: ARR.

As a healer, I found the Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak to be an absolute HELL to try and heal. Whatever wasn't trying to kill your party by beating the crap out of it was trying to kill your party by beating the crap out of it after poisoning everyone. As the healer, you had to be on your toes and know when to use esuna or heal, while keeping yourself alive after ticking off whatever monster was attacking by healing it's victims. While it wasn't really all too hard (not on the level Garuda anyway) it did separate the attentive healers from the idiots who simply chose a healing role so they could get into dungeons faster. I enjoyed every minute of it, and plan to run it again. I hope there are other challenges like this one in later dungeons.

stone vigil is hard as hell too, those ice mobs hit like trucks.

I haven't gotten a chance to heal Toto-Rak, only DPS and Tank (during beta), but it sure looks...fun, or at least a nice step up from what I've experienced so far. I certainly share your hopes of more challenging content for healers as I progress.

Yes, this one caught me slightly off guard when my entire team first got poisoned. I adapted and passed it even with a few close calls. I decided to do the dungeon a couple of times to be sure I was comfortable with my role on the team. I did enjoy the challenge and I am happy to see there is something to look forward to as a healer. Hearing good things about Titan and Garuda.

This was rough the first time I tried it because AOE is large and sticks around for a long time, so my entire screen looked green.

Later on it wasn't so bad though. I re-did it and when it AOEd I just moved around the room in a clockwise direction, keeping towards the edge.

I think one of the tough parts in dungeons is getting a good camera angle. I was practically staring directly down on myself in order to see what I was doing in that fight. It worked, but it made things awkward.

didn't noticed any difficulty from that dungeon.

the last boss in brayflox has similar poison attacks and aoe like this one
moreover, the boss will heal itself if he stays at the poison
so everyone have to be mobile and aware

I said Darkhold is a true test for healers

I've done it twice as CNJ and, at least imho, the only thing remotely hard about it was the moronic Lancer who kept trying to be a tank in the second run. Granted, if your the type who just spams Cure with the occasional Medica, it will knock some reality into you, but hard it really isn't.

Nah this was easy, but I like how the Sunken temple was like and idiot filter. Titan was even worse people constantly getting hit and knocked off the side I had to leave like 10 team before I got a team that did him in one shot with like 2 first timers lol. Some people just don't know how to get out of the way of AoEs. Making healing hell on earth. I cant wait to get my hands on some of those mega Ether potions X_X

Esuna !? but I am a SCH !!! But really, that dungeon is fun but it is not that difficult to call it "true" test of healer

We just zerged down the boss, didn't bother with adds.

Ditto walk in the park and I whmed it

so far the only things i've really had trouble healing have been garuda story, amdapor keep, and the princess boss in cutter's cry. everything else has been easy to moderate difficulty, but those three were a pain to heal

I'm not a healer myself. But my healer friends have been swearing on how hard it is to heal people in Amdapor Keep during the 2nd boss fight against Demon Wall. That fight is a pain!

The only hard time I have healing so far is when I forgot to turn off Cleric Stance.. only half way through the dungeon had I realize it's on, then I turned it off everything suddenly became a harmony like I grew wings -- well, I'd be drinking red bulls at the sametime.

WHM with RedBull wings lmao :D I can picture it, somebody should draw this (im to lazy to do it myself, and no inspiration).

Hakku Manor was my first test. But this was due to bad tank. We went out of time on last boss.... He just couldnt hold those fireball spitting mobs off me while I healed him. But poped the Duty finder and got a new group two awesome Tarutaru mages and a hume tank. Tarus slept all mobs so healing was a breeeeeeeeze with this awesome CC! If you have Sleep or Repose USE IT DURING EVERY FIGHT :D It will save ur healer and tank for alot of hassel ;)

I had one healer actually leave our group in Titan and said "f this". So i think if this person made it through TTR and then suddly jump ship on Titan is kinda confusing to me.

I played one run where I actually thought I was a bad healer. I could not keep the tank alive. He would die if I stopped spamming cure 2. In the end it was actually the tank. He had good armor, but was behind on weapon/shield and accessories. And for some reason he had less hp than myself. I was only two levels above him. The next run went flawlessly. In fact I've had no problems since then.

Sometimes I think was that even possible? If you play on tank, at least keep up on your gear at all costs if you can.

So, it gets even more challenging for healers later? Nice. It definitely helps me flex my WHM muscles. :)

I didn't find this too bad with my Conj but it was more exciting then just hitting cure a couple of times.
