How much time have you wasted on the login screen?

I'm just curious about those not botting the login screen (I know many people are)

How long do you estimate you have spent on the login screen -just- trying to log in to the game?

I'm estimating i've spent around 15 or so hours. But I know some friends spend 3+ hours every night to get in.
Kind of curious to see if most people are just trying once every 5 hours or spending hours at a time spamming.

Not more time at the login screen then actually playing, but the fact I actually had to sit here thinking about if it was more or not is kinda sad.

Yeah, I do average between 1-4 hours a day spent trying to login since early access.

Today? 3 hours before i just gave up and went to play on my PSVita.

And when something offers less entertainment than a PSVita there's something terribly wrong.

About 15 hours with my keyboard repeating num0 so I dont need to click.

5-10 mins a day.

Today? 5 Going on 6 hours, yesterday, nearly 4. Total? Don't really want to know, personally.

I don't even want to quantify it...it'll only make me even more upset, lol. But it's been a lot.

It seems I log en easy in the early morning.. play till noon... then kicked out and can't get back in till very late or the next day. At this point I just give up. Far too many hours wasted. I would like to say I wont sub now, but I probably will, which is sad in itself.

normally 20-30 min but since the game froze in a cutscene last night its been about 18 hours of 1017 and 2002 errors

I'm usually in within 20 login tries, during the week I'm usually in immediately in the mornings. Might have been 30 tries today but I expect that since it's Labor Day weekend.

1. Plug in controller with turbo function.
2. Put heavy object on the A, or confirm button.
3. Walk away for 15 minutes to make breakfast/lunch/dinner, take a shower, do some homework, watch a video, etc.
4. Come back and be in Eorzea

same i try about 10 mins every few hours for the pass 3 days i just give up and play other game btt

Are there veteran rewards for time spent in the login screen? :D

Not even 1 minute guess i have lucky hands when it comes to log in :D

Today I so far spent 4 hours trying to get into the game. They really need to kick ppl off who are inactive for more then 45 mins. This is stupid.

Yeah I agree, the inactive players still being logged in should be kicked, I hope there desktops explode,its going on 5+ hours for me, if its not the server full message, I get the can load na server message "yay"

If i cant get in and get an error i know somethings wrong so its no use waiting and botting to get in or whatever. i usually go do something else till i see a tweet regarding the issue after 30 minutes after that i try to log in. (it works)

Wow some people have spent way too much time trying to log in. I think the longest I have spent in one sitting trying to log in was 30 minutes straight. If it took me more then an hour to log in I would just go do something else with my time... Not worth it to me to sit and try to log in for hours when I can just play or do something different.

Working on 3 hours straight so far today...usually not so bad but it's reaallly awful on Hyperion at the moment...apparently :\

Started trying to log on at about 9am in the morning, it's now 3:38 my time. ^^; I'm so royally frustrated at the moment it's just awful lol. Blow through 1017 errors for 30 minutes to unable to connect to US/EU worlds and 2002 errors, then rinse and repeat the process, a queue that actually worked would have mitigated the suffering of people so much it is just unreal. I'll keep hoping since today is my only real free day that I have to veg out on a chair and really pour some love into the game, but its starting to look like it won't be happening. (T^T) Good luck everyone who's still trying to get in, hope you guys pull through...or make it to the pearly gates...whichever comes first. ._.

I'm certain I've spent over 24 hours in total since Early Access began.

It is not Sunday 3:30pm pst and I have been trying to login and play FFXIV ARR since yesterday morning, like many other people. I have either faced a series of error codes: 2000, 1017, etc... or the ever popular, "Unable to locate the group NA/EU server list." We are in an era of MMO's where most of them are F2P and SE is being bold asking for $12.99/m to play FFXIV. Don't get me wrong I'm not a cheap ass looking for a free ride like sooooooo many players out there. I'm happy to pay money for my entertainment. There are a lot of talented individuals that worked hard on FFXIV and they deserve to be paid. But I won't pay for a game that I can't play.

The writing on the wall is grim IMHO. First SE had FFXIV V.1, that was more like a bad social experiment then a game. So much so they took down their servers and redesigned their game from the ground up. By extension, an admission of guilt that they F'd up. Now in V.2 SE has massive server login issues. I mean lets be honest here for a minute. I've been playing MMO's since shadow of yserbius on the Sierra Network and I haven't seen release server issues like this this the launch of Anarchy Online. Have developers learned nothing from history? Ultimately, I'm saddened by all the issues I was really hoping for a new MMO to play. I guess it's back to GW2, where I don't have to pay a monthly subscription and new content is being added monthly for free.

On the craps table of MMO's I'm moving my money from FFXIV ARR to WildStar. Roll them bones! No Wammies. No Wammies...

NONE join a JP world with my friends and we have never been booted and get on first try. We will move to a NA world when they are fixed But the JP world (Aegis) all I meet online are NA players anyway. Sucks for all of you that you did not do the same.
