Concern about Wednesday

I've been reading Yoshida's threads and I am concerned about one thing. Yoshida only said they were going to add more servers for new worlds and Duty Finder. He never mentioned anything about expanding the servers capacity for existing worlds. My only character is in the heavily crowded Behemoth. I haven't been able to play the past two days because its been full. What if people, who currently play in Behemoth, don't want to start a new character all over again? I know I don't. I think Behemoth will still be full all the time after Wednesday.

That is my concern as well. However I want to be on Gilgamesh with another friend, though I do have a friend on Behemoth with me (when we get a chance to play together.. which hasn't happened yet).

I'm wondering about that too. Adding new servers isn't going to help some people if they are not expanding the servers already up.

I think it's still too early to rush to conclusions on this. They will enable server transfers soon and I imagine they will offer those who ask a comped transfer.

It just makes good business sense. Be patient in the meantime. I haven't been able to play for the last 2 days now but I am patient... I will wait still until their plans to fix the problem are implemented.

I am upset though and hope that people would be considerate and log out when they are done playing for the day though. They are abusing the system and I hope that AFK detection becomes their next priority.

I agree I really don't understand SE as a company they are so short sighted. Watch this coming wednesday, They add new servers without any ablity for people to transfer until mid september.

What i think they expect is to FORCE players to reroll, or simply not play until the transfers.

I believe Yoshi-P said they were looking into it, however they had to concentrate on server fixes and expansions first. But yeah an afk kicker in a popular game should definitely be a priority.

They've been forcing people to roll on low pop servers away from friends since the start of p4 beta... One would hope that would change soon. Personally I haven't play my "magic" type class character yet as I am waiting until I can get onto a server with a friend.

Doody finder is part of the reason why were in the mess in the first place... the way I understand it is that the servers we have now are handling the instances for *everything*, and they are going to add more servers (remember servers doesnt necessarily mean new worlds) to the doody finder to take the strain of the main servers that are handling all the world instances. AND they are adding new worlds.

I really hope there is a larger solution than simply adding servers, if it was that simple I would hope it doesn't take them a week to just turn on more servers. Rift was able to do that within the first hour of launch.

I never thought I would be happy to actually sit in a que.

i had to pick a NA server in the open beta but i am european, i really hate that i can't make a free switch to moogle or phoenix so i have a bigger chance to play with people in my time zone.

I wasn't sure how much duty finder impacted Behemoth. I hope it helps. Yeah, I posted some threads about how an AFK booter would be really helpful. A lot of people in Behemoth want it because every city and inn are pack with people just standing there. It just might take awhile to implement.

They are restricting server loads due to the Duty Finder messing up because of the large amounts of player from cross servers trying to access it. Once they have more Duty Finder servers, they will lift the restrictions. I don't know if you remember the first few days of Head Start, but there was no issue actually getting into the game. The problem was with getting into instances. Sadly, this game requires a lot of people to access Duty Finder at any given moment, therefore, gameplay was seriously hindered. They had two choices, having everyone basically stuck in their character progression and fate grind all day,.. or put a heavy restriction so that the ones that can play may progress. The choice they made was obvious.
