9/1 Login Difficulties NA/EU Not Fixed

It was reported that login issues for Ultros were fixed a little over 15 minutes ago. Just reporting that this is false and nothing has changed on my end.

I am having the same login difficulty as well in general. I am not able to retrieve the NA/EU world lists.

Behemoth too.

What they meant was all the people logging in to play now get an instant error, while all the people logging back in to go AFK get in instantly

Was able to see the NA/EU world list for 15 minutes. Now its gone again.

Get used to their lies. They could easily fix this but don't. This is verging on criminal. I still have the same problem here.

Let's just all enjoy the Opening Movie one more time shall we?

I wonder if people who find out an aircharter company overbooked their ticket are as mellow as we are... Cause basicaly, it's the same thing happening here. They sold copies of their games, but do not have enough room for all the people to play it...

Moogle - I can see the NA/EU list now, but getting 1017 when trying to log in :(

Haha :) Indeed, usually SE has pretty nice background music, but in some occasions that music makes me want to shove a moogle through my headphones :P

Same...3:47PM EST and still receiving "Unable to update EU/NA....." for Malboro; well cannot even get to Malboro.

*Sigh*... oh SE why are you so terrible..oh thats right cause you merged with enix.

I tried about 200 times in a row to log in and couldn't get a queue once. Now I know people are logging out, I see FC members do it all the time. If they do it and I see it I know others are doing it. It is unreasonable to think the server is staying full. This is some monumental troll bs right here.

What everyone should do is go on strike of the game. That's the logical thing. But nobody will lmao...when it's working right everyone will be on >_<

Once the game is actually working, no one will care anymore.

15:50 EST Still no NA/EU server list. Heading into hour 2 of this... again... Same as yesterday.

I knew I should not have trusted SE to make this run any smoother then the original release... Why am I letting this game do this to me again...

kinda sad. People dont want to log out when they go afk cuz of the 1017 problem. I have only been able to login in the early morning but I go afk when I do something and come back shortly after but still. 1017s all day long is really bad. Bioware had problems with it's launch but they launched too many servers at once and ppl left in mass exodus after the first month due to server not being populated enough

Same here on Balmung. I see they said the issue was fixed about 30mins ago. But I still can't log on or get the NA list appear.

lol seriously?? The game hasnt worked for me since Thursday evening. I have given up. I work all week and cannot play much thru the week, so I look forward to the weekend and playing, and of course SE drops the ball...again...and the response "Uh can you try again later" - Which they have been saying for a week, since the Early access. I have never seen such a high level of incompetence from such a large company.

Ok I'll bite. How could they "easily" fix this. Programing is not as simple as write code and compile. The game runs on multiple platforms.

With that said, yes it's annoying. If this was Square's first mmo, I'd understand, but alas, it's not. And I would agree with the notion that an afk que would solve quite a bit of their issues, but its not an easy fix.

There is a Dev post addressing the issue today. They are considering giving all subscribers a free week. It's a valid band aid, but I would still rather play the game.

Dont you just love when on your 1 off day your able to play all day uninterrupted you cant because SE didnt plan on people playing the game?

I'm just watching the menu movie and opening movie repeatedly. It took them 4 hours to repair the JP servers, it may take just as long for us.

Kick afkers yes.

This game is like giving someone crack and then teasing them with more but not giving it to them >_<

Why do they insist on lying???!! Nothing has been fixed! Don't lie to attempt to appease us. If you need to take time to work on it then do so. Don't go spreading lies, saying things have been addressed. I am a sad panda, a very sad panda right now...

Doesn't even work. All they have to do is make a simple click or single step move macro and the timer restarts. So easy to do with so many programs out there. Hell, even my mouse has a built in macro button which I could make do that. The only issue is SE could not even fathom this many players wanting to try out XIV.

On a side not, I got the NA/EU list to pop but 1017 for 3 trys then nothing again... GGSE

Same in the USA, I cant access any of the NA worlds from any menu.

From 8pm BST you literally have no chance of getting on as it is peak time.

Yup So far the process for me goes something along the line of the follow (waiting a min between each try):

No NA/EU Server List
No NA/EU Server List
No NA/EU Server List
Lobby error

wait 5 minutes then restart the client to start the above process over again.

Whelp! Back to Path of Exile haha

Moogle is an EU server, so surely only the login lobby should be a problem? Once through that bottleneck I'd imagine us on the EU servers would be fine?

I can also NOT see the NA/EU Worlds. This is ridiculous. I can't even play on my three-day weekend. Early Access is gone and we are all paying for the subscription now, this is NOT okay.

Same here on Midgardsormr. Logged out and tried again, list loaded long enough to get 1017 then lost it again.

And that's just it isn't it... SE didn't think people outside of Asia were interested in ff14 anymore, so they were like "Eh screw it, lets just buy that shack in Quebec and throw some servers in there in case someone buys the game." Of course maybe if they paid attention to the gaming community outside of Japan, they would have seen this coming and (I would like to think) bought better/more servers or set them up better...

Same issue as pkx. Got disconnected from server an hour or two ago. Since then its been combo of can't update na/eu until occasionally i get the character list, but then i gives me 1017 until it crashes the game then back to can't update na/eu. Strangely enough when i do get the na/eu char list it says can't update jp list...........

Diabolos is broken too. Haven't been able to log in in over 4 hours. Got a queue with 7 people, then was told full go away.

The fact that 5k ppl are loging in at the same time would of course have no effect on the login issues.

Is there a limit to how many classes you can have on one character? I'm asking because I might try a different server that's easier to get on to try new class, but if you can have unlimited on one character that will just feel like a waste of time then since I can just do it on the one I already have.

Try Path of Exile if you want a game to play in the meantime. It's very good, free, and a fantastic community and dev team.
