Won't load character select, among other problems. Anyone else currently having this?

So I have been trying to log in for about 5 hours or so now. At first I just had the program, and pardon my language for this, "FUCK1017" going so I didn't have to do the spam clicking myself.
That went for a few hours, and then the client starting giving me an error and crashing every time I tried to log in.
Now it does a number of things when I try to load it, but mainly it just stays on the character select screen, and doesn't load anything.

The other things it does is occasionally give me a lobby error, sometimes loads a character but will not load the NA/EU list, and sometimes "Start" remains greyed out.

I want to know if anyone else is currently having this issue as I know some of my friends were booted from the server we play on, Midgardsormr, around the same time, and they are unable to log in as well.

I apologize if this is a repeat thread, but considering the timing and the number of problems I am having, I did feel that it was appropriate to start a new one, so please spare me the "PLZ USE SEARCH LOLOL" comments.

I'm pretty sure everyone who isn't already logged in is having the same issue.

You're not alone... these are just new problems for me. I've had many prior to tonight but now I'm getting these.

This is not a great relaunch for them... from a technical/logistical standpoint. The game is fun... when I can actually play it.

It's pretty new for me. Usually I just get 1017 and I can use my little program to get past that while I watch TV or clean. Haven't had all this mess until today.

Same problem here. Lobby Connection Error.
Connection to the server lost.
Cannot Update NA/EU blah blah.
Greyed Out start Button.
All day. good times.

I lost connection returning to Uldah in while the screen was loading. I've been locked out for 3 hours now with either the character screen not populating or the Start button being inaccessible.

I am experiencing the same problem, but I am on Cerberus. I logged out in the Inn and now I can't even load the NA worlds or it says
"Lobby full" before I can even hit start.. quite irritating. Another problem I keep encountering is that I keep putting in the correct password +the one time access code and it says its wrong.. what the heck is going on!

Ya I'm on Siren, as well as a couple friends. It seems like one of my friends has been able to play this whole time. But hubby, other friend, and I are not able to connect. Whether it be not able to click start button, or not loading character, and my favorite one; not able to see NA/EU server list. I really enjoy this game when I'm able to get on. Please fix it!! :D

You can bypass the 2002 error by right clicking on the launcher (if you're using a PC) and select "run as administrator". That will get you to have the start button lit up and able to click to get to a character list. BUT what it will do is then bring you (most likely) to the wonderful 1017 error.
Last night I had hope it was fixed and working as I was finally able to get onto Midgardsormr since the first day of Pre-launch but then today, after that small little patch from SE, it's back to being jacked up again.

The lobbies seem to have crashed completely.

First weekend since Early Access, why did I expect any different?

It's a three day holiday weekend here in the US so don't expect to get online for the next few days. Thanks for nothing SE. Do me a favor and call me when YOU decide I can log into and play the game I bought. I am done trying to log in. This game is good but it's not worth the 200 hassles most of us have had to endure just to NOT be able to play the game on our own schedule.

Same world as OP. Same issues. Mostly 1017, then a few "EU/NA servers", now greyed out START and lobby 2002 errors that then close the entire program forcing me to completely log in again, rewatch the rating label and SQUEENIX logo, only to have it happen again. I think i'm gonna take a nap and watch a movie and forget about ARR today.
