Gill Seller Problem

It seems as of today gil sellers have infiltrated AAR. with this new addition of characters as we all know gil sellers tend to create the max characters available at one time and sign in all at once..are only adding to our bogged down servers. I believe one fix to this would be to implement a macro into the chat systems to automatically boot anyone who posts a web address into the chat. or even just an addition of a quick report player button which will pull that players info immediately into report to be filed for gil selling.

/blist, report, and move on... So If I post a link to my FC your suggesting I get kicked even though its not Gil related... Retarded.

I was wondering how long it would take them to start announcing them selves. Sad Panda :(

I like the one click report button part but not so much the web address part. Maybe if it was only blocked in /shout/yell.
I've reported then blisted them as they pop up.

I've /tell'd two so far in my time playing with 'Reported for RMT activity' then blacklisted and reported them. Seems to work fairly well, haven't got one since the last one three days ago. They work in teams, so if you /tell them back that you reported them, they'll avoid you in the future. Well, that's my theory anyways.

Getting spam tells by these RMT sellers is starting to get annoying.

What if... there were 255+ RMT out there per server busy farming hogging our slots O_O!

Today i was doing dungeons when a Gold seller spammed the shit outta of me in whisper,it was matter of time i guess :/...let's see how the population of Gold sellers goes when the monthly fees are up.

This is unfortunate news. I will report the crap out of them. The one thing I would hate to see if this games economy go down the toilet like XI's did

They are and probably more. Don't think for a minute this does not add to server congestion.

wish there was an option when you right click on their name to black list them or ignore them. I got a PM from a spammer.

where have u been they have been around since EA trying to sell 10,000 for 5$ i jsut black list now since no report button imnot gonna stop playing to write out a a report every 10 secs to report each one when SE can simpley put one of there gms not doing anything in a newbie town and stop them.

That will free up the servers some.

I think they should ban anyone trying the create a character named something like Ffjanv Bbdnjss or whatever. Plus why would you need to buy Gil anyway I have like 50,000 and no reason to spend it yet

i ask for free sample gil now and never get a reply back lol.

buying or selling should be perma ban you know know the rules.

Even easier would be to put a mod in each zone to just watch the chat log and jump on the gil sellers the instant they start advertising.

We should NOT kick anyone who puts up web addresses. TONS of people advertise their Free Company sites. I myself in talking to friends have sent links to things like my deviantart page. It wouldn't be fair to be incapable of doing those things just because there are gil sellers.

LOL. No offense, but that's not very much gil at all, and you'll have tons of reasons to spend it at lvl 50.

The tell spam is ridiculous, I login and get 5 different tells immediately spamming gil sales. /blist doesnt work, IM STILL GETTING SPAMMED BY MORE CHARACTERS

Its like none of the anti-spam and anti-rmt task force and countermeasures that were in XI are here to stop these people.

/away doesnt even stop people from gil selling sending tells either.

It's starting to be REALLY boring.

I usually don't care about Sellers, 'cause I always do a special tab with only tell/party/guild, so I usually never see them when I play a MMO, but here, not only they spam me directly in private message, but to add to my pleasure, there is a really annoying sound each time I receive a spam (and yeah, we are talking about spam here, in 1 hour I received about 15 messages from 2 different sellers, I wanted to see how far they would go before bling them)...

And if only it was user friendly to ignore them, like a simple click on the name, same process as adding a friend, it would be good enough, but no, it's not even close of "user friendly" on PC, so must be a nightmare for PS3 users.

So please, add a way to ignore them with a click on the name.

Or even better : Players, don't buy gils ! If they don't earn money here, they'll move to another game... Guess I'm just dreaming here.

I would enjoy a right-click -> blacklist feature.. better than having to go into friends list and black list.
