error 2002

Anyone else unable to hit the start button then getting 2002 ?

Same here from time to time... it is making my game client crash. I am also getting the 1017 on the Character select screen too with out even selecting a server or character.....

Yep. It's even worse than usual today. Logged in, started to do the spam to get past 1017... loading screen. Yay! Except... 2002. Then 2002 on the splash. And then it couldn't load the NA/EU servers. Then it could, but not JP, and then 2002 again. Been trying to get in for 2 hours now.

I get not fixing things straight away, but this is getting progressively worse.

It's the weekend, and America is waking up hungry to play, much higher server load than the past 5 days so expect more issues.

Yep, getting it as well, as well as error 5006, error 10102 the few times I can see my characters, and most recently I'm getting 1017s before I even try and log on my character. I don't really understand that. Fix servers, it's Saturday!

Same thing is happening to me. Been trying for about 2 hours also. T.T

Same here. 1017 before I can even select a character to try to login with. This is fun. Been at this for over an hour now. The epic fail continues.

Now I'm getting 1017 with out even hitting log in >_<

1017 for an hour, avoided that and began loading (I got stoked!) then bam... 2002...

Yeah, I'm having the same issues this morning, I just had an Error 1017 before the characters popped up. o.O

Yup I'm getting it too. Finally was able to try to log in and got 1017 of course... :/

1017 and 2002 for an hour for me. Guys remember early next week Servers will be expanded/updated. They do acknowledge that a lot of people are having these problem ( and now me I started a new character and got 26 CNJ 21 THM and 18 ACN). They are aware of these issues and hopefully will be fixed with this massive server update.

Yup 2002 error....can't get to the character logon screen

edit: kicks me out completely once I get the error.

Maybe those people using external softwares that keep trying to get them to log to the servers are helping to crash the game? I've read someone suggesting to other players to start using those programs on ZAM and, while I know it's not the only problem, I believe that we only need a few thousand peeps using that to make the situation worse. Maybe maybe?

I am also getting error code 2002, then i move past it and hit error 1017 then after a few tries i move past that to a new error...i wonder what error code ill pull from the SE Grab Bag of Garbage next. Now i have have reached my yearly allowance of 2 posts so i cannot post a new reply to any thread.

I finally got thru to character selection only to be hit with "Unable to obtain world data NA/EU...

I wonder how many times SE can spam "Several Worlds Login Problems" in a weeks time.

You know there is something wrong when, you finally get to the character creation screen and you dont even care that this is the 75th character you have created on a different server just to be able to play.

I keep getting that and the failure to load the NA/EU server cluster. I know they are still up, my wife is still logged in to Goblin right next to me.

Guess that's what I get for trying the screen resolution and crashing out of the game.

Now I get the following:

Followed by "Obtaining the world list...." seems to be stuck.

Come on :S please let us please for one weekend at least?

Same Here. Getting error 2002 and lots of error code 10102 Connection on server lost etc. When trying to log in. Sometimes i cant even see my characters at all or even the menu screen before the error popping out and sending me back to log in square enix account x.x

I had error 1017, and now it's turned into 10102 sometimes I can't even see the characters, sometimes it says unable to show NA worlds, sometimes it logs in a bit and then says it's disconnected. Most recently I got disconnected from lobby world 5006, which is new. So, at least the error messages are changing - that's definitely as fun as being in the game...

I knew I shouldn't have logged out last night, dammit.

Randomly yes.

While this is my first relaunch to participate in, it's worse than any actual launch I've been involved with. SE's ineptitude is killing my FF buzz.

This was a plot by the "pro log out camp" to screw us all

this kinda of reminds me of the dam dual lan drive thrus at mcdonalds. by design they encourage people to get pissy with each other because no one is actually in charge. the design flaw is in how mcdonaolds designed these drive thru's, not the customers.

The same is true here, Square has designed a system where people getting annoyed with others is the predicted result. They need to manage the process for an orderly log on, not us

Getting error 2002 as well, start option not highlighted, guess i'll try again later.
