START is grayed out

So, this is a first. I don't see any messages saying that the servers are down, but on the title screen, the Start is grayed out.

EDIT: Never mind, it seems to be working now.

Got the 90k error, and then no updates to world server.

I just kicked out with this too.

ok this is actually 2002 error just need to give it time lmao

I have been getting it to. Now I can select my character. But ofcourse 1017... Kick the DAMN AFKers!

I haven't seen any updates on this situation the past 5hrs

While I know you are right, and several thousand people have been experiencing this since EA, and I'm not the first, it is mildly annoying. Made it more so, coupled with the fact that before I got kicked, I asked if anyone else was lagging out, and got a resounding "No." And it just makes sense to keep reporting these instances to Tech support through the forums, so at least if we get no response, they know there is still an issue.

Got the same thing with start not being an option. Game then closed. Re-launched and could click start but no NA servers available. BLAH!! to this launch... Trying to be patient but come on SE lets get it together.

That there new error for logging in now. no worries just keep trying. It there way of nerfing people logging now from what friend said. There so far over there heads it crazy, and there to afraid ask for help, I know there were 3 other mmo company asking help them since they want the game to succeed and they turn it down. It help the mmo genre as a whole.

i think all the afk'ers should get suspended for 24 hours cause alot of ppl cant play because these self entitles SOB's stay logged in aka afking so they wont get locked out maybe not being allowed ingame for 24hours will teach them to respect others and not manipulate an issue aka exploit it to their advantage >see when im online i play then after about 6-8 hours i logout when im done why afk and be a douche?

Exactly. I log out after I'm done playing too. Most of the afkers though are people who do not have the time to play during the morning or during late at night. Jobs and families to care for only limit them to evenings. I don't blame them for doing it since that is the only way they will ever get past the 1017 error during peak hours.

Finally got in. Now let's see how long before I get booted :) lol.

Managed to get past the Start button and now I get a message informing me the world is full.

Giving me no option to change world it just boots me back to the main menu.

Congratulations SE on fucking up a launch worse than Diablo 3.

I didn't think it was possible! Yet here we are lol...

Anyone getting these errors should run a ping test to a random website to see your connection before/during/after trying to log in to FFXIV.
I have been doing this and FFXIV seems to be causing a overall connectivity issue when you try to login and you should see your internet connection stabilize once it kicks you or you exit out.

ALSO, I notice now when its a connection issue by simply watching how the Rating Screen and "Square Enix" logo show up before you get to the start button. Both will appear as if they are stuttering or it takes a long time to get to the actual start button.

(If you do see some sort of connectivity issue when doing this, there is a sticky up on the tech support forum regarding ISP possibly throttling the connection and it maybe related. Please add your info there for visibility)

Yep just had the 2002 error, doing well today I've had 3 90000 errors, a 2002, a 1017, a 3102 and I've just had a 6010. This game is so broken lol.

My button is grayed out as well.... tried to bet the rush of people today so got up early to log in but now a grayed out start button just sad :(

Lol and now to top it off, I've just had another 90000 error and am now getting 1017 server is full. This is so bad now it's actually starting to get amusing.

I did the same thing and had the same thing happen :(

Had that problem earlier, eventually got logged in. Lost server connection when teleporting and now I'm getting that same error again. Grr, argh.

Supposedly the login problem was fixed, yet I've still been getting that glitch.
