Mount Music

Does the mount/traveling music really need to play every time I get on my mount? It was comical at first, but now it's really beginning to wear on me. I'd really much rather listen to the zone music and ambient sounds.

If you're doing a gathering quest or something and mounting up between each node, man....talk about maddening.

You can disable it in the settings

Oh that's great news! Does it disable all music or just that particular track from playing? I wouldn't want the former. I'd check for myself but I'm not on atm.

You can just disable the mount music. There are other options for the other music settings.

It does disable the mount music - that means, the zone music (if you are lucky enough that it plays) will keep playing.

Don't you DARE disable the adorable chocobo travel music!

Bad music is bad & should be muted, even the staff feel so... That's why the option is there in the 1st place, don't ya think?

Yeah... I don't find the company chocobo music to be all that great. The rental music is neato though.

I hate how the music is generally so rainbowish-happy even in "serious" storyline cutscenes, its even louder than the sound of the voice actors.
or in a creepy-ass dungeon like Haukke Manor, the in-game music is still a happy melody lol

Yeah rental chocobo > company chocobo for sure. Goobbue/Coeurl music is awesome.

I prefer to turn my mount music off as well though, because most if not all of the zones have absolutely incredible music.
