Leveling quest hubs after 46?

I recently finished the level 46 story quest and there is now a big jump that requires level 49 to continue the story. I have completed the Odin quest chain from the Waking Sands and I now have no level appropriate quest areas left.

This isn't much of an issue to me really as I have FATE's and dungeons to complete still; I am just wondering if there are any quest locations I may have missed, as my attempt to find any has been unsuccessful.

One suggestion that worked really well for me was doing the level 45 leves out in Mor Dhona. The EXP you guys by having it set to maximum difficulty nets you roughly ~8500EXP per leve, which doesn't include the EXP you get killing the monsters themselves. Definitely a good alternative if you're either waiting for a dungeon or you're getting tired of doing FATEs.

Sorry, I just don't like grinding. Well... here I go anyway.

Did they really just not make any quests post 46, or will more open up at some point?

I havn't seen many besides a few in coerthas, mor dhona, and nothern thanalan. But best way from 46-50 is grinding fates in mor dhona and northern thanalan. When there are none left in what ever zone your in just tele to the other. Works out really well and there is a boss fate in northern thanalan that is really fun!

I think if you check back in at the Waking Sands when you're lvl47 there's quest chains Mealstom & Immortal Flames. I can't remember if there are any there at Lv48, but just keep checking every level. :)

can someone tell me were to find these quests I stopped questing at lvl 33 had to grind half a lvl every lvl now since lvl 33, quests only last half a lvl with me now im getting sick and tired of it grinding is boring ....

Its going to be like that for the rest of your leveling experience until 50. Be prepared to grind fates until your eyes bleed.

46+ Try North Thanalan

Also, exploring the entire world gives you roughly 2-500k exp depending on how well you time it. I leveled from 42-44 1/2 just exploring then to 46 by finish my hunting log. I'm SoL now though I guess it's time to grind dungeons.

If you return to the waking sands between 46-50, the NPCs in the side rooms give you quests that return you to place you've already been...with brand new quests involving the local beastman areas.

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. Now I hopefully won't have to suffer 2.5 levels of fate/dungeon grinding.

/sigh

So now I'm 48.5 and no quests left to do.
All appropriate Hunt logs complete, all story and job quests done till further leveling is done, and no extra quests at the Waking Sands.

SE really needs to work on their leveling progression as FATE farming should NEVER EVER be a required part of the process.
I wouldn't mind doing Dungeon farming if there was an increase in the exp gained from them but as they are at the moment is just a once through thing.

I grinded Fates from 46 till I dinged 49. Immediately went to do the story chain + a lot of quests opened up which enabled me to ding 50 without doing a single fate. So basically 46-49 grind fates (or dungeons or idk...).

yeah, gonna have to do some dungeons for half a level but still not right that there isn't enough quests to get you through to 49 or extremely close to it.

I found starting around level 38 that I was usually a half level from progressing in the main story even after doing all the quests for the areas between the main story quests. I also found it really annoying that a lot of the side quests are gated by main story quests. I can understand some of the side quests being locked but it's like that from 1-50. Grinding FATEs and dungeons isn't very fun or interesting on your first playthrough. The experience gain for levequests needs to be jacked up considerably to help this issue unless they're going to add more sidequest content.

I don't mind grinding on subsequent classes and jobs but I really don't like doing that on the first run through the game.

46 - > 50 really makes no sense. Basically no quests, forced to grind fates for 4 levels.

Yea its really bad form on SE's part, I assume they were rushed to finish the game and neglected the last 4 levels of sidequests, I guess we will see a bunch more in 2.1 by which time it will be too late for many people.

The game actually needs more quests from the level 35 point, I pity new players who are looking to level multiple classes.

Ya I'm disappointed by the lack of quests post 35 (ie barely enough to cover 1/2 a lvl between main and ALL side quests).

I've just reached that point myself. Luckily finishing my world exploration achievements plus the side quests (though they are very few!) got me to 47 and halfway to 48. Problem is, my computer isn't the best in the world. In fact trying to join fate groups is pointless because of the lag. By the time I catch up to the massive fate mobs they will have the fate already defeated. Leve's in Mor Dhona are boring and don't give nearly as good xp as fates.

What SE really needs to do is add more quests in for 46-50.

You know , im already sick and tired of having to grind out most of the levels to get to the next part of the main story and im only a level 30 conjurer , reading what you have all written I seriously doubt im going to get much further in this game , 3 or 4 levels of grinding to get to the story when your in the 40 levels ? no thanks .

No, you pretty much run out of quests at level 46. I think what I made the mistake in doing was hunting logs and exploration xp. I should had saved them till 46 then I probably wouldn't of landed where I am lol. But I think I found a couple alternatives. If you got good friends, queue up for duty finder. And read somewhere can even group up and do leve's to make them go faster for quicker XP.
