Lobby server error

I have this error after dc from game " Lobby server error cant login at servers" So is my problem or is general?? ??

It's not just you. I'm getting a 2002 Lobby Server error this morning. :-/

I'm getting the lobby error as well.

Just got it myself 5 minutes ago and the start button link on the splash screen is inactive.

I was first having a problem connecting to the US/EU servers. I tried logging out and back in and then got a lobby error.

I got the log in error only to reach the dreaded blank selection screen. Then it 1017 me even though no chars or worlds showed.

I guess the NA/EU data center imploded or something. :p

I just tried logging in, got error 2002, kept trying. eventually I got to click start, but then couldn't retrieve the NA/EU list, and afterwards I got error 5006, which is the same lobby server error.

Me also, I got dc'd w runtime error then logged back in to dc again in maybe 5 min. Now it says "Lobby server error cant login at servers"

same issue on JP server - Atomos

it seems widespread. Did any of you have a crash on exit last time you played?

I get unable to update the group NA/EU character list. Nothing to select.

same after I got dc'ed about 10mins ago ._.

you guys are lucky, my starter screen automatically asks me to register my game, than when i put in my code it says its already in use, well duh, i registered it last weekend, was playing just fine last night. any ideas?

still showing that it cannot update the NA/EU worlds only showing JP, and that has been intermixed with the lobby error or world full error.

This seems to be the routine. get DCed lobby error cant find NA/EU... man its hard to enjoy this game lol lol. SRY to everyone with this error glad to know its not just me...

I've got the 2002 error as well. Makes the "start" button greyed out but you can still access the configuration option and the others.

no, I didn't get dc'd or crash last time I played, I logged out in a sanctuary, and went to log in this morning, and got 2002, and 5006 errors

Y and lately i take lot crash dc's .. why? SE any information ??? !!!!

Same thing happened to me. 2002 error first, then unable to update NA/EU server list. I went to make myself a sandwich then tried again, now I logged in smoothly.

Same issue for me. Hopefully they fix it soon...

Yeah, the Lobby Server is being exceptionally squirrelly this morning. My favorite error so far is getting the "This World is full..." error before even getting to the character selection screen. Have yet to see any acknowledging of the problem though. Hopefully someone on the SQEX side is paying attention. :)

i did all i could on that list(i dont have a router so i uninstalled my network adapter.
and reinstalled it through scanning for new hardware).
restarted one more time>
loaded ffxiv:arr just to have a greyed start button and another 2002 error
need a different solution

I have the same problem.

i wasnt logged in and disconnected. i was just trying to log in when i got up this morning

launcher wont start now.

getting fkn sick of being kicked out of the game when i change zones,, only to wait another hr to be able to get back in... this compounded with the "cancelling of all support tickets cause their are to many" has made for an epic fail for launch.

tough luck if you get Justin or Pierre in your support chat as well, those wankers are fkn useless

I'm having the same error.

Had same issues - 5002, 2002, 1017 before I got to character selection - all after a crash - I rebooted my computer & reset my internet and got the same errors. It seems to be their side not ours, as I kept trying and eventually got into the game.

Same as some other people here:

C++ Runtime Error crash when playing for maybe 30 minutes upon loading a new zone. Restart computer, got a error 2146697211 from the FFXIV launcher. Wouldn't load. Then would load but would have a blank screen. Then would go further with a blank "play" button. Then Errors 2002 and 5006. Then finally got in to press the start button and immediately 1017. Then was able to get to the frozen Character Screen with a 1017. Then last and finally, Unable to contact EU/NA servers. Awesome. 2 quests in 2 hours this morning.

EDIT: Gents, it's NOT us....their ridiculously generic "reset routers/connections (power up/power down)" is positively moronic.

Getting 2002 errors and "Server Full" when I log in and after I log in and get to server selection. Also, does anyone notice that the FFXIV websites are really lagged down as well? (ARR Forum/Lodestone).

My game crashed before i got this 2002 error code. However, my game crashed whilst i was doing a quest, not by way of logging out.

I got a windows error message saying that the application had hit a snag and have to shut down.

I followed the instructions in the sticky about the 2002 issue but that didn't help one bit, which didn't really surprise me.
