Unable to log in for awhile now

hey guys i have not been able to log in to the game for a fair few hours almost about to give up trying. But i check the server status and it says they are all up and running but when i try to log into my character it either gives me the 1017 over and over again or at the moment it is saying the jp and na groups are unavailable seeing as some people have restricted times that they can play the game they are paying for i can't imagine this being very good for anyone and i am only now getting annoyed that i can't login :/ it has been fine up until today. i would not complain if i was not paying for the time to play.

after many attempts and many tries i managed to get in after hours of waiting for about 10 minutes and now im stuck in log in again with error 3102 saying im still in the game... what even is this?

There seem to be a lot of problems with the login server today. I can't even pick my character before I get 1017. The forums are barely working, too. Spent more time refreshing this than writing it.

Same. On my pc version i was getting to the world selection this morning then getting 1017. Now it goes to character selection and 1017s before i even select a world. On my ps4 version it just keeps saying server unavailable or it starts updating the launcher then signs me out of psn. Something is 100% broke now it seems. They say worlds are up but I can't believe anyone is playing. Im thinking 90% afk people at work.

Same here for PS3. I can't select my char without running into a 1017. Tried logging in later and as soon as I did got another error and was kicked from the main menu.

Yeah, I got that one once as well. I guess the NA/EU servers are down? It'd be nice if they EVER let us know what the fuck is going on. Too bad that we're all too stupid to understand words.

The character selection doesn't shows up and I get the 1017 full server error. Gee, is there anything Square Enix can manage properly at this time ? What was the beta period for ? Really, none of those connections error ever poped up during the beta, which leads me to beleive that their stress server beta period were really not that stressful.

Now i can barely get the launcher to show a login. Is it to much to ask for square to post whats going on. These vague comments on no character creation don't address the constant issues on pc and ps3. I barely see anything on ps3. I just got it and can barely get to the launcher and when i do it errors out lol Hard to tell if this is servers always down and not getting fixed on ps3 network issue. So many problems to hard to tell from my end whats going on with no info from square. Be nice if the forum guys would start posting in these threads.

I played on PC for a few days on jp servers. Game was fun. With so much new games coming out this is starting to get to frustrating for me to spend my free time on.

I guess it just opened back up. I tried one more time before leaving and got 11th in the queue. I can't even imagine what the problem is, though, because my friends were already logged in. All of my rage lol

I think the problem came because they flushed out the preorder keys. Now you have those new 30 days keys and the server just got wacky...Just an idea, but this switching keys has started since this morning and the login server is messed up.

hey guys well ive just ran into the same issue you guys have aswell, open the client on PC and noticed to start with the client opens alot slower then usual, i login and the play button takes forever sometimes to appear to be able to click.

Once i get onto the game i find sometimes not always the "start" being greyed out on the list and i cant even click it, but when i do get the chance to click it it takes me to a blank character select screen which or it says it cant update NA/EU.

ive even on this last try got a 1017 error the server is fully message before ive even picked a character and a world.

i hope they finally get this stuff sorted i mean im a V 1.0 player and only get 15 free days to play not even the 30 so im using most of those not even being able to log in half the time.

Also btw i registed my 20 digit code when redeeming my pre order code not with the actual code that came with my physical game as i already had my service account active so idk if that changes anything at all.

They took all servers down to fix a problem. Its on the news feed. They are slowly bringing each server back up one at a time. Even tho it list JP servers you can best be sure that it affects the NA/EU servers as well.

That's not all servers. That's all JP servers. Ironically, the only ones that I could see before. The NA/EU servers not being listed is exactly my problem anyway. They never post in a timely manner about any server issues that I've seen.

Thats why I said, "Even tho it list JP servers you can best be sure that it affects the NA/EU servers as well." All in All Everyone should link up to the news feed on Twitter. And everyone should be reminded that "Early Access" codes ends today. You must put in your actual retail codes.

yeh this sucks guys just took a break came back still cannot get in at all really hoping we get our time given back to us i'm not gonna pay for time i can't use especially after going great lengths to acquire the collectors edition don't get me wrong love the game ARR is amazing but this is just making me angry now if i was playing a f2p i would be like oh ok sure i will try tomorrow but it isn't and this is pretty much what i wanted to play today.....
