History Repeating: Defeating the Siren Quest

Any hints or tips on this? Having a hard time defeating this quest.

I died to this a couple of times too, but be aware of where the 'bubbles' are so they don't explode on your face. Also, on the 3rd wave, there is a caster that will spawn behind you (normally facing the Siren) so you have to kill it first because they hurt.

Just kite and pop your defensive/offensive cooldowns to take down the weaker mobs first.

run around alot dont just sit there for them to hit you, dont stop moving.

I have been killed more times that I care to admit on this one. Trying it as SMN would SCH work better? The last part just nails me. I can't keep up with the damage its hard to run around without getting splashed by a damn bubble. Wish my cast times were faster :(.

I died the first time trying to fight like I usually do. Died with the captain at a sliver.

For the second try, I changed pets for the emerald, her thralls can't be tanked by the pet anyhow (at least mine couldn't) and created a hot bar with all my instas. Anything I could cast without stopping I stuck on there. Thankfully I had Ruin II. I just ran in circles and nuked whatever was up. Target the caster first, they are all pretty weak, even the captain if they don't hit you.

Avoiding the bubbles was pretty straightforward, they seem to circle mostly the outside, so I ran in a small circle inside that and dodged as needed. Made sure Aetherflow was up and used energy drain when I could. I also put a pot on my hotbar, but didn't need it. Second time the captain went down smooth.

P.S. Made sure to heal up between waves as well. The bubbles are a pain, maybe I just got lucky.

Tip. Stand at the far corner. All the way at the back left/right corner. Bubbles will not be aggro when u stand there.

This quest was pretty bad on a BRD, but now I am on an alt MNK and it really stinks. Those bubbles are brutal. I'm actually using pots/food that I normally use in Coil... lmao

Did this as a monk, it was a pain dodging those bubbles cause of their range when they blew up. I died a few times on the captain so I came here. The tip by 'LordSideKicks' for sitting in the corner worked out really well. I had to move out of it a little to dodge stuff and try to take advantage of positioning. Otherwise it was really good. I think I saw 3 bubbles get close to me, and only got hit by one cause I had moved out a little too far. First attempt using that tip.

This is good to know. I think I tried this 3 times the other night and decided to quit for a bit before I tried again. Next time I log in, I'll try the corner trick.

This quest has been driving my crazy. Glad I came and read this. Going to try the corner trick tonight!

Sorry to Neco a thread, but... the back corners don't work any more. Those bubbles came after me more than when I just hung at the beach.

As an Archer/Bard the corner trick still worked for me today. The idea is to gather aggro from less bubbles, not avoid them altogether. Its also worth mentioning that as a ranged class, I had to kite the enemies from back corner to opposite corner followed by a circling around through the center. So depending on how the bubbles spawn, you can also avoid them through the kiting process as they drift away from the edges.
