Dem limit breaks

This skill alone could start nuclear wars, with most that I've ran into having a itchy trigger finger to unleash theirs on the bosses or trash mobs. I usually only use it if the boss is nearly dead and we just need that extra burst to kill them off quickly or if someone in the party asks me to use it.

Though their have been times where someone in the party would use it and then cause another to ask or scream at them as to why they would use their limit break when an others was much more suited to the situation or saving it was better for later.

Kinda like how a tank in a dungeon run asked me to use my limit sincethe boss was nearly dead and the healer suddenly used it right after he said it. Only one person's hp bar was at half health and it was the other dps. I was a little confused but boy did it start an argument between the two. I could imagine fists were flying and hidden missiles being launch from out of no where. The other guy and I just kinda crept away at that point.

Level 3 melee DPS Limit Break is Tifa's "Final Heaven" Limit Break and has nothing to do with Omnislash. Also all the other Limit Breaks aren't anything like Omnislash so I really don't get your point in that post.

I used it in Brayflox on the last boss because the fight took three times as long as it should have. The tank wouldn't move out of the poison attack so it was constant esuna + cure spam on him and sometimes a dps would get caught in it, and then the tank held the boss for a good 2-3 min over the healing poison. I was out of MP for a couple minutes and my summoner buddy was having a hard time keeping them up as I relied on potion and natural mp regen to heal the last half of the fight. When I used it everyone was half hp or under and I had no mana to cast anything else. One of the dps was giving me crap for using it even then. I hate how clueless people are, even though they can see your HP/MP they expect the healer just has unlimited spammable heals for everyone.

I really think limits should be individual, was talking to a friend yesterday about how much rage they're going to cause.

I really enjoy the Lvl. 2 LB that Summoner has. Hailing Asteroids?? Excellent. :3

Either everyone has their own Limit Break to use at their own free will or when one person clicks the limit break a pop up asks if you want to use it (and what role clicked it melee DPS, ranged DPS, Healer or Tank), if 3 out of 4 agree, then its used (for light party) if not then it is cancelled. While I'm not a fan of constant pop ups, it may curb the stupid trash mob uses.

While I appreciate that LB's make us strategize, I have to agree... it's an easily abusable situation. Anyone can screw the entire party, even by accident--that said, there's the difference between using the duty finder and going with friends.

Personally, I would not only like to see them be individually used, but also individually gained. The amount of HP my WHM cures should fill his bar, and the damage I do as BLM should fill mine. :o

Love this idea!

I think what they should do is adopt phantasy star online's mag ability system. Make it so that everyone has their own limit gauge, that build both in and out of parties. and when 2 or more party members use their limit breaks within a time frame of each other, enhanced effects occur, maybe even entirely new limit breaks occurring allowing certain combinations to add even more depth and strategy into their use.

The current system just doesn't seem like its going to work too well for a western audience(we're selfish jerks). Good thing most people don't know how to use them. once they do, its really going to be a shit show.

Tbh, as far as the main storyline goes, the only time you need anything other than the single target damage limit break is possibly Garuda after Aerial Blast. Since not having Medica II yet makes it a pain to heal everyone up afterwards. But even then it's very possible to go without.

Also, Final Heaven does ridiculous damage.

Funny thing, I have used mine twice and have no idea how I did it, but it was cool none the less

I too would love to see limit breaks for everyone. It's already one of my favorite aspects of the game, but I'm not to fond of being the only guy that uses them outside of the occasional trigger happy tank that was in no danger at all. I used mine during the ifrit fight to kill the nail when one of our members disconnected mid fight and our healer and tank died. I then proceeded to finish off Ifrit solo. Wouldn't have been possible without that level 2 limit break as a lancer.

I think this would be the best solution. I don't want to be given the third degree every time I claim a limit break as WHM (which is hardly ever).

I like LOTRO's system (if we can't have individual limit breaks or skill chains). Where once its triggered everyone gets a popup and depending on what everyone selects different things happen (health regen, mp regen, dot, direct damage, etc).

Yeah since the single target damage limit break is so superior in many boss situations. We need individual limit breaks or even another system. Otherwise limits will become a little repetitive if it hasnt already . Parties will just have the melee limit every fight.

personally i never use the limit break i leave that to the others in the party guess i just haven't had to though .

oh and im actually a lvl 36 conj dont know why its not showing on here oh well

If there was individual limit breaks setup I would like the option of a Chocobo limit break. Different ones according to the skill trees. 3 Mainlines, according to the highest, with a few special or just nifty ones unlocked with certain skill tree combinations.
