Gill Spam is out of control

I know Square has a lot going on right now with the server contention but in the meantime it would be nice if someone could start banning gil spammers.

I've already ignored the same guy spamming the same website 5 times in the last 18 hours. They seem to be in every major city in Siren. I cant believe they are repurchasing the game 5 x 3 times a day to create 5 new accounts in each of the 3 main cities. Could someone please start perma banning these guys?

sucks that RMT can login but i can't >.> next week needs to hurry up. btw i havn't seen any RMT shouts/tells on Excalibur.

You know it's strange, and perhaps it's becasue I am on a legacy server, but I havent seen a single one of these. I havent noticed any bots either (at least the ones you can tell are bots becasue their names are JHKJGHKJHJHKJHOo lol.

I've seen no bots or RMT shouts of any kind on Balmung.

I've seen them in Malboro, sadly I don't think SE has enough spare people to ban them all. So we'll have to put up with them until this whole server thing gets fixed.

No bots on Exclaibur, either.

None on Excalibur that I've seen.

Makes sense that a lot of servers aren't seeing them yet, since SE disabled character creation on all but 3 realms within the first day or two of EA.

Lamia is full of spammers, which happens to be one of those 3 servers where character creation was open until yesterday.

This is the first time ive seen this X) Im on behemoth

On Ultima Ive seen one boxer running a few accounts all of the characters were a superhero win name. Was amusing he was definitely a solid boxer lots of practice from other mmos.

There are a ton of them in Midgardsormr too. I've actually been whispered three times by gold advertisers, disregarding shouts entirely, since Saturday.

Plenty on Lamia ... spamming Gridania like hell.

I got whispered three times this morning. Twice by the same gil seller within two seconds. I want a right click blacklist option.

I have just been blacklisting all I come across and then reporting them.

I've been getting /tells on Balmung. I just submit them to the STFU.

Yeah..just keep blacklisting... I haven't seen a single gilseller on Hyperion. Or Valefor.

I came across one on Odin. Just like everyone else, I blacklisted him.
I wish there was a way to just click their name to /blist them instead of going through the motions of having to copy and paste it.

I have seen this on Coeurl, though not to that extent.

Can we get some GM's in game to monitor this please? Not only is it wrong and annoy but they are also holding down a spot real players could be using.

there was a pretty agressive one on Hyperion yesterday in Ul'dah... but when I went to report it (removed from blacklist so I could grab the message) he was gone and I couldn't re-blacklist him... so at least SE is doing something about it

Haven't seen anything like this on Cactuar... How do we report it to the GMs if we see something like this? Is there a way to do it in-game?

I'm on Siren as well, and proceeded to use the blacklist feature. I believe you can go click their name as to do a /tell, but then change it to /blacklist. At least this is what someone was saying in chat that would work...

So I'm curious how I can report someone? I asked this in chat and I got people yelling at me, saying that SE should focus on servers instead of trivial matters like reporting, so I just assumed all I can do is blacklist. Since some of you said you can report, can you explain to a newbie like me how? I'd very much appreciate it instead of facing the wrath of the community on my server...

I blacklisted a few spammers on Ultros. Had to copy/paste.
An easier option to blacklist them would be great, like in the right-click menu.

You'd expect them on the legacy servers too they should've had tons of inventory.. unless SE ninja banned all of them in the 9-ish months of the servers being offline :cool:

A few hours ago I saw one in Girdania. The same one OP mentions, actually. Had to blacklist them, they were spamming the feed.

Hyperion filled up to max capacity and beyond before any gil seller could get a chance to even make a character.

Well, I guess there's one benefit of people being unable to create characters on my server... :eek:

They blow up on Malboro :( I've blisted at least one or two per day already in Ul'Dah alone.

Those parasitical gil sellers hit Farie this morning. Chat in Ul' Dah is unusable now thanks to constant spamming by 5 or 6 Gil sellers.

SE needs to do something about this fast. Gil Selling almost destroyed FF 11 at one point.

We also DESPERATELY need a faster way to black list characters. It should be in the subcommands when clicking on a name but its not. In Gamepad mode you can't even copy and paste the name... you have to manually type it in the Blacklist Screen.

None so far on Ridill, though I wouldn't surprised if they just focused on the NA datacenter considering most of RMT transactions are from Americans.

None here either in Diaboro.
