Seriously 3-5 minute repop on NMs?

This is completely ridiculous SE.

These aren't NMs. These repop faster than normal freakin' mobs.

These NMs are for mid-range players. Ranks 25-35.

Even Leaping Lizzy had a longer timespan... I agree that NMs need to have longer respawn. Either that, or they have to have an atrocious drop rate.

And to be honest, long spawn time > bad drop rate.

They may repop fast, but the drop rate is very low. Again. Accessibility. Yay for it.

Agreed this NM patch completely fails atm.

If Yoshi is planning on making all events like this we do need Tanaka back, this is beyond casual atm... this is pure stupid...

I got 4 rare/ex gears in less then 2hrs atm... that is epic fail considering they are better then crafted gear.

they drop R/E gear craybaby.. so it's better this way imo. want to camp your r30 gear 10hours to just use it for a couples of ranks then toss it?

All people seem to do is bitch and moan and whine and junk. Chill out, sit the f**k down, drink coke and smile. And then appreciate that there is content being worked (gradually) into the game.

At the moment spawn rates of some piddling NMs shouldn't and probably will not really be priority, so just chill till when the devs are less spread on various major issues surrounding the game before bringing in *constructive* criticism.

Yeah... it's really sad. Can anyone tell me the key word in "Rare gear"? That's right... rare. What is the point of having rare gear that is better than most crafted if EVERYONE and their Grandmother can get it in a few hours?

I agree, because in FFXI, I can kill leaping lizzy, I can pop the Sapling NM in Ngusta and and and I can claim Valkrum Emperor and and and I can pop Unstable Cluster and and and..

Guess what? Better gear exist yet I can get FAIRLY LOW LEVEL GEAR EASILY AND RELATIVELY QUICKLY.

People act as if this is game changing/breaking gear, my goddess.

15 minutes is longer then 3. And it could take 3 hours and you had to actually do something.

The semantics don't matter. The fact is, drops from NMs are supposed to be "special". They are supposed to be these "rare and exotic" things made from special materials. If everyone can just spend 30 min - 1 hour to get it... that trivializes it. There's nothing special about it anymore.

then makes mobs repops 3-5min if this keeps up im gonna just stop playing mmo's

it's not about being a cry baby even if the drop rate is low you could just be there for 30min and get it. It's a matter that there just lame 3-5 min is short then pretty much most of the Mobs in the game. If this is how the game is going to be then we better of with tanaka sadly i knew yoshio-p was a causal player but this is not casual not even wow is this dam casual.

One time in FFXI I acquired instantly approximately 10 million gil in one fight that took less then an hour. I took that 10 million Gil and in less then 15 minutes had an entire Unicorn Harness Set built. Thats a 5 piece set with approximately 6 Behemoth Leathers.

had I taken the time to just farm it all it would have probably taken me a few years or more of camping KB and other BH droppers to get everything I needed. Instead I got in less then an hour.

I'm gonna have to agree here. I'm not liking the direction that some of it is going. If they're just gonna reduce the game to lowest common denominator like they did for WoW, I'll probably just have to go back to FFXI until something better comes along. I won't give up yet, but I'm not liking the trend I'm seeing right now. They could accomplish making things accessible to Casuals in much better ways that don't alienate more hardcore players.

People complained that the previous NMs were on a decently long pop timer.

People will complain if these NMs respawned at a longish timer because "it only drops low level gear why is it respawning so slowly?"

There is no winning situation.

No, of course not. I'm assuming you received a Peacock Charm or something similar that you sold. In which case that's perfectly fine... you got lucky. Doesn't change the fact that both the item you sold and the armor you got was rare.

EDIT: I would suggest avoiding semantic and special pleading arguments... they are fallacies.

lol +1 this, i am not going to spend 10hour to camp stuff that i am going replace in a week, i dont even know if i want to camp it now because they are worthless, i will get few for town wear but that's it.. it gives lower rank people a goal to achieve. This game was advertised to be so friendly casual either way.

SE have a middle ground This Casual is a joke it's not even fun.

Come on, SE added a bunch of low level NM, people wanted more mobs and variety and they got it. SE did not announce any endgame NM with ultra rare gear for this patch. Look at them, those are simple mobs, reused models.
I am sure SE will add high level content later.
ATM priority is low level content, it is very understandable.
