Two part question:
Anyone have any information about World Transfers having fees? I see on Mog Station that World Transfer Services will supposedly start in mid-September however it does not say anything about fees.
If I remember correctly, on the old Lodestone website, there was a news update about world transfers for Legacy members, more specifically that those who have Legacy character will need to wait a 6 month period if they want to transfer to a NON-legacy server. To be clear, a NON legacy server. Transferring to other Legacy servers would work as normal though. Does anyone have any semi-valid info that this policy will still stand?

6 Months to transfer a legacy toon to a non legacy server... God I hope thats wrong.. Especially since beta 4 toons were kept which I find idiotic :/

Well is frustrating... Bunch of friends are already level 40 on their main class due to beta 4 carrying over yet my lv25 crafter can't move due to legacy... Find it kinda backwards... And not knowing for sure kills because its like do I stay on my current server and level for a few weeks or start brand new sense by 6 months time Ill be way past my current toon.

I'm sort of surprised for the lack of communication on this....well not really, but with so many people having been displaced by the system and others who "Had" to move/choose another server by their own volition because of the congestion and the suggestion that was made by Yoshi/SE.... Yeah I'm hoping for some new update with good news :/

It had better stand. People who are new to the game deserve the chance to play without a bunch of people with all level 50s and those who would control the economy with their massive head start. Please do not forget that one of the biggest mistakes made with FFXI was releasing it in Japan an entire year earlier and then throwing all the new players on the same servers, just because it happened 10 years ago.
If you want to play with friends then either start a new character yourself or have them start on your Legacy server. -
08-29-2013, 12:24 AMBasahraI wouldn't mind having my friends coming to the legacy server, however I would hope the first transfer from the new servers to Legacy would be free, due to the fact that a lot of friends got displaced on other Legacy servers somehow :/ So basically now that I know I'm not the only one who saw the 6 month waiting period, hopefully they'll make the first round of World Transfers freeQuote:
