We need them not fking Japan
Square Enix gives priority to it's Japanese customers first. Everyone else can wait.
If this mess had happened to Japan, you will see Yoshie & his team bowing down in public to apologize.
Over here, all we get is a lame "we are sorry" post.
we dont even get a response, wtf are you talking about?
Yoshie apologized in this post:

An Apology to Our Players Using NA/EU Data Centers
On behalf of the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Development Team, I would like to extend my deepest apologies to those Early Access participants who have had difficulty using the NA/EU data centers.
In response to a variety of issues, we have conducted emergency maintenance several times over the past few days. The first instance, which was conducted six hours following the beginning of early access, was for the purpose of addressing the errors 90000 and 3000, which were first discovered during phase 4 of the beta test.
Our server team then began taking measures to improve the performance of the lobby and duty finder servers. The subsequent emergency maintenance was necessary to implement their changes.
This maintenance proceeded as planned, and afterwards we verified that the stability of instanced battles and the duty finder was much improved. However, we then discovered that certain lobby servers had been improperly configured, and we were forced to conduct another brief maintenance to resolve this issue.
Although we have successfully addressed a number of serious issues in the past several days, we have nevertheless decided to implement login restrictions for the time being due to the extremely heavy load being placed upon the servers. In this way, we can ensure that the maximum number of players can play the game without risking a server crash. I know no one wants to wait to log in, but I hope you all understand why we believe this precaution is necessary.
Once again, I would like to sincerely apologize to all our players who have been unable to enjoy Early Access due to the tremendous congestion, the ensuing issues, and the frequent maintenance.
Everyone on the development and operations teams is dedicated to providing the best possible experience for our customers, and we will continue to do our utmost to resolve the remaining and any future issues.
FINAL FANTASY XIV Producer/Director, Naoki Yoshida
Fuck that apology, did they not foresee this? Oh, it's SE, of course not. Fail launch #2. Extremely disappointed.
Did any one of you stop for one moment to consider that this message was posted to both the EU and NA data center topics despite having nothing (on the basis of the subject) to do with those data centers. That would be odd since they don't post about the JPN data centers in those topics. Could it be that the same topic was posted to all three data center support topics because they are adding server capacity all round, and someone neglected to remove/replace the word "Japan"? Seems 100% likely. But since you're in full on flame mode you won't consider that. Remember that the JPN datacenter has not been without issue - no matter what the rather biased trolls around here would claim. Square Enix are undoubtedly aware that the NA/EU datacenter is woefully under resourced for the current demand, and it's inconceivable that they would add capacity to the JPN data center and not the NA/EU one.
Since I'm currently watching 1017 on my screen you can hardly say I am unaffected, and I am certainly not some blind fanboy, but just for a moment, think instead of just reacting.
My interest in more servers is very very small when compared to my interest in getting a working Queue system. I want to play with my friends, some are legacy players. We don't want to have to server hop if there's no way to bring the characters we already have with us...
please don't tell me that is the best they can do? i never seen the apology in person, fugg a thread. also i want a U.S. P.R. update. they sure were glad to update twitter with a new action filled "launch" trailer and promote on sale now!! yet im still waiting to get into GD American server of my choosing.
Maybe it was a mistake in spelling, it did say NA announcement, would not make sense to add JP servers for a NA/EU datacenter issue.
Already mentioned it http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-japan-servers ;) crossing fingers that na gets it too
Second post...

If that's true, the whole discrimination against JP v NA/EU is getting quite tiresome since they happen to do this often.
I just want to hope that's not the case. :/
The EU/NA are much larger than JP. JP has no real problems atm, but we do.
I'm relieved that they are doing something at least.
The reputation they have to lose in Japan seems to be on another level though.
Look at the commercials there... Alone in the 50th letter. FF series in general is quite big there.
(On the other hand a TV commercial ran in germany too...)
Honestly since it's posted on both na and eu and use the same message as jp I'm 80% sure they are upping the servers on all but where lazy and just copy and pasted from jp announcement with na and eu tags
Meh...........
I usually prefer to lurk, but I thought it might be important to bring this announcement to the attention of people who haven't seen it yet: http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...7c1574f8a6f73a
cant believe se r putting more jp servers, makes me laugh :D
Hopefully everyone by now has seen the correction that they are indeed planning to have additional worlds up by early next week. Enough with this ridiculous Internet hatred and bashing. These guys worked miracles to bring us this kickass game and everyone wants to play it, so much so that their servers can't take it. Face it people Square exists to make money. They are only going to do that by providing a service everyone can enjoy. For all the people bashing, if you truly believed these issues were not going to be addressed, then you are truly fools. After the release of 1.0 this game has to succeed or Square may not survive. Period.
