all text on ui dissapears

i cant log out cause when i hit escape all teh text is gone, in everyone menu the text is gone

the ppl talking to me theres no TEXT in the UI at all what the hell?

Im having the same exact problem, the game is unplayable.

I am also having this problem. The game is unplayable if the UI text is invisible.

If u guys want a fix/any kind of dev help u may wanna consider providing more info. Like what system your playing on, when it happened, what you were doing when it happened. Just some food for thought

Also having this problem, but I'll go ahead and provide some clarity since I managed to login.

Time: 7:50 AM CST
Frequency: All the time, only in cut scenes does it work normally
World name: Ultros (Though it affects all servers, including JP)
Character name: Carth Faram
Party or solo: Solo
Area and coordinates: Ul'Dah - Steps of Thal and Limsa Lower Decks (Though it affects all areas)

I should note this game was working perfectly for me until I downloaded the most recent patch this morning.

I also checked Starcraft II on Maximum settings, and Guild Wars 2 on Max settings, neither of them have any graphical issues, so it's definitely not a problem with anyone's computers. But I've provided my system information below.

Same issue, Possible fix (no text ui bug)

So I had this exact same issue and I couldn't find anything on the forums as to a fix then I remembered having a similar issue in The Old Republic and tried the same fix there: turning off my Teamspeak Overlay plug-in. I also tried running as admin at the same time. Now I cannot confirm if it the was the overlay or the admin right that fixed it but if you use TS you can remove that overlay by going into Settings->Plugins and unchecking the box next to "Teamspeak 3 Overlay Plugin". Hope this helps some, maybe not all and if you don't run TS then try the admin rights fix to do this just right click on the program icon and click "Run as Administrator" if this works I suggest making it a permanent thing for the program by right clicking on the icon and going to Properties->Compatibility and check the box that says "Run this program as an administrator". Again hope this helps you guys and happy hunting ^.^ hopefully I will see you on the plains of Eorzea!

A Fresh re-installation of the game has fixed the issue for me.

So I can only assume there was a plugin issue somewhere.
