How long have you been 1017ing today?

I'm going on 3 hours myself, I suppose that's my reward for having the decency to log off when I'm not playing.

At least 4 hours going on 5..but I've tried to take a break and do something else but then I think I might get in if I try at this hour lol

took me 10 minutes to log onto leviathan then got dc'd.......then it only took me 5 minutes

15-30 tops minutes or so. I just exit the client and try again in a couple of minute intervals. Works for me and my girlfriend pretty quick.

I had faith in SE, that they would get this fixed. I just KNEW on launch day, after the fiasco that was Early Access, that they would add some new servers, not a WHOLE lot but a few. Boy was I surprised this morning when I saw that they hadnt.

I had been on the Leviathan server since Beta 2, since Early Access however, it has been an absolute nightmare getting on that server. 1017 no matter what time of day or night. So, my bf, a friend of ours and myself decided to jump servers. We went to one that was fairly new ( just opened during Open Beta ) and hadnt had a problem in a couple days. We were dreading today, because it was one of the few servers that would, from time to time, show up so that you could make a character. Just as we suspected. Get home from work, 1017. Fun times.

I get in after 10 minutes today and yesterday. I suppose it makes a difference that I start at 3:30 est ish, but still never had THAT much of an issue yet.

Is it even working? I have been spamming "start" then my character to login to Goblin server. 1017 everytime except ONCE! I got a queue of 19 players then I got the 1017 error after the queue. Been spamming for 3 hours...........

Also have to factor in that some servers are closed to new characters.

Spammed for around 2 hours today finally start connecting then got error 2001 disconnected before I got in game don't think I have anymore patience for it today

I DCed as Healer in the last boss of a dungeon (evil internets).

Got connection back, and after constantly clicking my character name to log back in for 30 minutes straight, I gave up.

Come on, SE, I'm playing healer (Scholar)! Surely my presence would be a positive contribution to balance out the DD heavy population for the Duty Finder... you can have a cookie if you let me into Balmung...

Or a cuddle... does SE like cuddles?

Should I be spamming start or relogging into the launcher every try?

I was on early in the morning without issue about 6am cst. came home for lunch 1017 since, tried for an hour then and since I got home its been another 3 hrs with the same error for both myself and my wife's account.

About 45 minutes here, admittedly not spamming the login sequence the entire time, trying to log in once, then completely closing the client, reopening and trying again, after about 45 mins I got into the que, then less than 30 seconds~ keep tryin!

Tried for an hour and a half then gave up in disgust. This weekend has been bad enough, but after today I give up until they decide to pull their head out of their backside and fix this mess. I have a friend who was able to log straight in however, and he told me that he was being spammed by gold farmers. The irony that gold spammers can log in and play and I cannot is not lost on me.

Almost 6 straight hours now. :-( It's been bad enough that I made a new signature for the forums. What do you guys think? I worked pretty hard on it.

The one thing i've noticed. Is I will never get in just spaming the log in. But if I exit out and log back in, that is the only time I can get in. Don't know if this is 100% a fix, but its worked for me. Usually takes about 15 to 20 minutes. not Ideal but works

Yeah, that's something that pisses me off to no end. The damned gold spammers are logged in taking up space when we're actually trying to play and cant. I know that it's difficult to monitor them and get rid of them, but still.

It normally only takes me ten or so minutes, with a log-in attempt every couple of minutes while I do other things, like browse the forums, or check the internet for amusing things. Although now that it's peak time, I'm not sure i'll be getting back in for a while yet tonight.

Edit: Got "in" queue after a few minutes of trying. Was loading into the game. 10102'd.

I am really starting to lose my patience. I cannot log in at all outside of VERY EARLY mornings EDT. I'm really starting to get a bit upset about this.

Characters on 4 different servers and I get this on all of them going on 2 hrs today.
Because this has been an issue since Beta phase 3~4 I created characters on multiple
servers so I could have a back up to play just in case any were "full"

Been trying to log in several times with each in about 5 minute intervals and going on
2hrs with no luck and only 1 time reaching a queue. I was 6th in line for 3 min then it
switched to 1017 again.

I hope they extend the "welcome back" to 1.0 players because this seems bound to waste
most of my "free" play time >.<

I worked from 8-5 today. Tried logging in as soon as I got home, got 1017. It's 7:45 and still getting it.

You guys. . . I miss 1017. . .



All I get now is 2002. . . atleast with 1017 I can spam entry with 2002 I'd always need to put my password back. I think SE's discouraging me even more.

I was in all last night. Logged off so someone else could have my slot, and regretted it the next day. With consistent spams and DCs.

3 hours and 45 mins of spamming and now I'm in. Was about ready to rage here

I've been trying for an hour since I got home from work... Tomorrow I'll just login before leaving for work and stay afk until I get home, this is rediculous.

2 hours so far still not on... the nice people who log off are the ones who get screwed :(

This is actually what I plan to do tomorrow also. I get up very early for work, so I know I'll get in... and I WILL PLAY TOMORROW.

I was able to get in enough time to get my THM to 22 over the "early access." I know I am more fortunate than some others. However, it is rather upsetting that they are intentionally preventing players from being able to log in. SE really does need to answer to this. At this point "early access" was false advertising. I don't really care if the game was just released and that issues happen. There really is no longer an excuse for the issue that is going on. These companies should be working out any kinks to this magnitude before going into an early release. It isn't 1999 or 2005 anymore. Game releases should be evolving. This isn't what I would consider an evolving process in MMO releases. This is the same old same old.

That being said, I have been trying for the last hour to get on the game and would have loved to play tonight. It is breaking my heart that I can't log in. I worked all day and just don't have the time to sit around hoping to get be lucky enough to get on.

Played the first day of phase 4, and then again on last hour of it. Played the first couple hours of early access. Every other times I tried, couldn't get on....

I'm not really that bothered by it, it does make me care about the game less. All I can say is I hope it gets fixed... It is a pain, and ridiculous if you think about it because this is phase 3 and 4 problems.

I rolled a character on a Japanese server to play when I can't play my main. Zero problems, except that it feels like a ghost town.

I have classes through out the afternoon and evening, during my break between classes I was able to log in and played for about 2 hours.

Then logged off for my evening class now I am going on two hours without being able to get in. Here is to hope for getting in sometime tonight and hope to others getting in. (after I get in first of course :cool: )
