Was very glad to see all of the adjustments. I'm hoping that the quests that will be introduced are good and have cutscenes.
Simple, but very nice changes:
# [dev1046] Retainer locations are now saved even following server maintenance.
# [dev1029] Character collision with relatively low-lying outdoor elements has been removed.
I think the way this patch note is written should tell SE that... y'know... maybe they're doing it wrong.Quote:
A bug wherein mashing the Accept/Confirm button on a gamepad while crafting for a local levequest would forgo the synthesis details interface, and prevent all game commands other than chat.
Very much liking the look of the patch. In before the "thats all?" complaints.
Are you guys serious with this? Way to completely noob up the game. Everything dies too fast as is and the NM's can be easily taken with less than 8 people, we don't need them to be weaker.Quote:
# [dev1020] The maximum number of party members has been reduced from 15 to 8.
The strength of several notorious monsters has been adjusted to coincide with this.
# [dev1020] Players now receive enhancing status effects when in a light party (4–7 members) or full party (8 members).
* Comradery (light party)
Maximum HP and MP increased by 5%
Physical and magic accuracy increased by 5%
* Strength in Numbers (full party)
Maximum HP and MP increased by 10%
Physical and magic accuracy increased by 10%
lol @ THM not being nerfed.
You do know that balanced doesn't mean easier. It could be balanced so that it is challenging with 8 players.
I think this is more about the scaling of the guildleves. An eight-man party could get wiped on a three-star guildleve if they have the wrong party composition, or are simply too low rank. This improves the chances of survival in situations where players are noobs, or just being retarded.
i like the buffers. :3
What are you, stupid?
"Rendering" suggests pre-rendered CGI. You mean ANIMATING the cutscenes - all cutscenes in FFXIV are in-engine, and therefore rendered in REAL TIME. The only thing cutscenes need are animators. I suggest you study 3D graphics animation, and basic game design, before you even try to say anything as pretentious as this.
Seriously. If there's one thing that I dislike in most MMOs, it's people with high post counts that don't actually know what the hell they're talking about.
hmm companies first related quests are in "new sidequsts" ? *mumble mumble*
[dev1004] Upon meeting the objectives of a main scenario or class quest, an exclamation point (!) icon will appear over the NPC offering the quest. An exclamation point icon will also appear over the heads of NPCs with whom a player must speak to advance a quest.
WHY? I was glad the exclamation points where on the map/mini map only, why over the heads? If you want to make it easier why not just have them all visible on the city map??? :S
I dont know whats so wrong with FFxiv besides the fact no one seams to understand that its not ffx 11 so get over it. they have made a lot greet changes to the game still a lot to add but don't mess with the class system its not broken its not ffxi, only thing in this game worth saving. add some content or if you make it for the people are not playing rather than the people who do i play another game. ARCHeAGE looks like it could be good
Those buffs are most likely there to keep the party sizes in future content under control:
-It'll be harder to do 4-7man content with less than 4, because it'll be designed around having 4-7 people with the 5% buff.
-It'll be harder to do 8man content with less than 8 people, because it'll be designed around having 8 people with the 10% buff.
I'm sorry that your already soloable/duoable Notorious Monsters that drop junk are going to remain easy to kill. Says nothing about the future direction of the game, however. Especially when we're undergoing battle, party and job changes, and there isn't any content that has been made with these new systems in mind yet.
Premature raging is hilarious.
LOLPATCH 1.17
[dev1043] The following UI features have been enlarged:
* Player HP/MP/TP gauges
* Target HP gauges
* Party member HP/MP gauges
I better be able to readjust these, or my screen is going to be more cluttered than needed.
And after logging in after the update, I can see it they did it decently. Twice as thick as the exp bars, not stupidly large otherwise.
actually I know more then you think about the field of cgi. there is alot more to it. It takes 2 years to make a 90 min movie.... you have to story board it, build models, re render models to get the movements in place, then you have to remake the models with higher textures. Then actually program all that into the game. That precess takes more then 2 mnths tyvm.
oh man, i really really didn't want to post like a troll but, WHERE ARE THE CHOCOBOS? :(
no i am just not a little girl like some people. sound like you don't have a real life
