PC code confusion - clearing it up

I just made a Reddit post to help clear up confusion related to PC owners and all the various keys we are receiving/are supposed to receive (some pre orders haven't received their actual key yet, myself included).

I would however love some help adding to it if I missed anything.

And most of all, if you could answer me what your Mog Station Account Status says if you are 1.0 I'd greatly appreciate it. I think I preordered 2 copies and didn't need to, one was for a friend btw (I ordered for early access, but realize I could have just preordered/cancelled to get that code).

For reference, here's what my Mog Station looks like. I was a 1.0 owner who preordered a copy for early access. I'm yet to enter/have to enter a code into the new Mog Station. I only entered a code for early access via their old website.

Thank you, this was quite helpful. I think most are hung up on the fact that they think the 20 digit code is their game serial number. I went to Amazon.com where I ordered from and went to my game library and got my code there, just like all of my amazon digital purchases.

Yeah, it's really fairly basic. It's just the way they went about it I think. Most seemed to expect that preorder 20 digit code was their actual game code (myself included). And on top of that, people haven't received theirs yet so they assume they are good to go. In fact most people probably assume they are good to go until they won't be able to log in anymore. Haha.

I'm having trouble putting my code into mog station. I bought it directly from Squeenix, Digital Download, and I played early access and everything. My code starts with RCWU, does that mean anything? Otherwise, it's saying the code is invalid.

When did you receive your code? Are you sure you aren't confusing it with your early access code? I think the C is for collectors btw. I'm unsure why it would say it's invalid unless it's the same code you entered for early access, though it doesn't appear to be. That's an answer I don't have. Sorry.

Well yeah I'm a 1.0 CE player, pre-ordered ARR for the hell of it. So i basicly have a copy to sell/give away? Got a digital key in the mail today.

I gotta code but on my mog station it only shows 1 character which isn't my main.. i have been scared to pay ever since <.>;

I have no clue what to do. Do I need a code if I'm a PS3 Legacy/Collections Edition User? I have no product code unless it comes physically with my purchase. If so, I will wait and see if a product code shows up.

If you are a 1.0 player, you get to play for free on the respective system you had it for (was FFXIV on PS3?). There won't be a code to enter, your account is simply active.

To be clear, if you played 1.0 on PC you get FFXIV ARR on PC.

If I bought the PS3 CE off Amazon? Where is the 20 digit code located? I have seen 12 digits, and 18.. nothing else.

I'm going to assume that since I am trying to register this code in a 1.0 Service Account, I won't be able to get my items. Looks like I'll have to refund it and upgrade my account to CE through MS. :\

This was really helpful, I was still thinking my pre-order code was the one I was supposed to use. Found the right one in my email today so I finally got it all sorted out.

Yes, I am a PC 1.0 Player. On Mogstation, I see that my account is indeed Legacy/Collector's edition (I bought the PS3 Version of ARR) so I'm assuming I'm good to go? I know the PC client is free for me, just unsure if I need to enter a PS3 Product Code. I ordered through Amazon and I'm waiting for my collectors package to come in today. Maybe there's a code there? Can anybody who ordered physical collections edition for PS3 shed some light into this? :)

There is a 12 digit code in there..and an 18 digit one. I got mine today and I can tell you it clears up absolutely no confusion.. but the case falls apart everytime I open it.. lol

I sadly added a new service account this morning in my coffee induced haze before work and now need to wait an undetermined amount of time for square to merge both serrvice accounts and remove my one month of free time. Why is that button the first call to action on the page. Terrible UX

I am having almost the same starting code but mine is RCWE and when i enter it it says invalid as i received the email today to put the code. Any knows what's going on or can help in here please ?!!

Well, I just received the product code that came with my physical order of PS3 CE. I entered the code via PSN Store Redeem Code Application under Account Management and Now under the Services List, I can see that it has been registered (on the PS3's XMB Services List). I guess I'm good to go? xD

Im a 1.0 CE owner and i pr-ordered ARR for the early access, i just recieved my retail code, my question is can i wait until after the 14 day trial period that 1.0 (non-legacy) owners get to redeem my free 30 days?
