Grand Companies

So this was loaded on the lodestone today.

I see an Ungodly amount of chocobos in the art picture...

are we getting chocobos?

The art of Yoshida are AMAZING like always.

Exciting, indeed.

We finally get to see the mysterious Admiral. O_o Awesome.

i cant pronounce the Chief Admiral name.. @_@

Heyyyyy, now there just might be some good stuff in the 1.17 update :P
It was looking very thin, but this acutally gives me a small glimmer of hope that there will be neat stuff to partake in.

Also if any of the community mangers are listening: Can you see if we can get a wallpaper resolution version of that top image!?

Also Order of the Twin Adder, Gridania Represent :cool:

The image is stunning and the information about the factions gets me excited. I wonder if we can only join one faction? I like the feel of all of them due to their descriptions, varied, yet similar goals. It's exciting that we may need to band together through these companies. =) And yes...lots of chocobos on that picture... but I won't get my hopes up lol

Oh look! The threat of the Empire is finally recognized! And all of a sudden this game got a lot more exciting!

Two companies have women as their leaders as well... yay for girl power? =p

It seems Eorzea is going to wake up... finally!

And not just any Chocobo. Chocobo with armor =).

Probably not worth reading into, but most of the chocobos are wearing different armours pieces and are different feather shades. Chocobo customisation?

Wow I can't wait to get into this. It says that it is all started by an "adventurer" so I can't wait to see what missions we undertake that get this all kicked off ^^

Great stuff, looking forward to it. That said, I can not hide that I am a bit disappointed in the amount of information we got. Was expecting a bit more.

Not hating, just saying. I think the whole Grand Companies thing will work out great :D

The new info makes me wish I picked LL as my starter city, I think I might have to reroll. ;~;

i guess we are not restricted to the starting city, after all we are not even locals there.

Personally I don't really like that part :/ I know this is something irrelevant, but I don't like MMO that puts only you in the center of the storyline, like you're the only hero... like in XI when you were told you were the only one able to call a wyvern, or the only one able to summon Fenrir but then everyone could do that :D I would like it much better if the storyline treated you as someone in a group of heroes. I guess it's something pretty hard to do, but if I remember well Guild Wars storyline was sort of like that (at least the first campaign).

ok WoW just because gridania is nature theme don't mean anything. Sorry kinda stpud ppl flip over something trivial. "omg treehunggers... they not epic "reroll" " i mean really ...... thats kinda silly.

Raubahn Aldynn looks badass, look at him with his eyepatch and huge 80's shoulder pad. I really hope you can get to join all 3, I would speculate this would be possible since the companies themselves are not warring between each other.

I love Gridania, the Wood Wailers and the Gods' Quiver and I would never reroll in a different city ù.ù

You need to chill out. I was making a joke,
once you play the game and start in gridania you will know that its all about hugging trees, it is no news.

I must follow Raubahn!! Maybe I can help him unlock his bluemage powers from his past life/other dimension! Bluemage will be mine >:D
