Black Summer gear? How do we get it?

In Mor Dhona, there's an NPC that will trade your Cascadier Uniform Voucher for:
Black Summer Top
Black Summer Trunks
Black Summer Halter
Black Summer Tanga

Each one requires a voucher.

Question: How do we obtain said voucher?

If i had to wager a guess, I would put the bet on it being the upcoming seasonal event. It was said earlier in some of the live letters, that the first seasonal event would have "Heat Resistant Gear" AKA swimwear, and that those items would become available with the first seaonal event that was theorized to happen 1 week after launch.

That's what I thought as well. But seeing it available in Mor Dhona made me panic and think I was missing out! lol

You can purchase the time upfront and get the items now if you wanted.

The black summer gear in Mor Dhona is veteran rewards. The festival stuff you trade the wet ash in for is in the main cities. They are not the same

...and you can't get veteran rewards now unless you are 1.0 because the billing cycle does not start for others due to the 30 free trial plus free 7 days thingy. I have been waiting for this...can't wait!

Two things.
1 - Being 1.0 doesn't mean you are 50. I am 1.0 and my highest char is 31.

2 - I ask again. Where do low levels go to get veterans rewards. Very soon new players will be getting these rewards and will not be 50. Do I and they have to wait till we are high level to get these rewards which are given because we paid our fees? If that is the case then they should be labeled high level veterans rewards.

Go to your mail box to get your rewards once you see a number indicating # of unopen mail next to the tiny mail icon on your upper right screen near the time clock. Mailboxes are little white winged moogles with giant heavy red bags/mail icon on your map in towns and some camps. Mohr Dohna is a high level area.

The swimsuit that the Mohr Dohna npc provides is from veteran's rewards. The swimsuit is the only one that itself does not arrive in mail. You get two tickets in envelopes you need to redeem at an npc. If you look at the vets reward page it explains the NPC in Mohr Dohna named Aelina will redeem the 2 Cascaider swimsuit envelopes you got from mog mail.

You redeem wet bomb ash you got from, bombard Return Of The King: FATE, in one of each of the main cities for swimwear from the FATE for the Seasonal Event. When you get the mounts/minions in the mail you choose "use" from the item in your inventory then they will appear in your actions menu as icons, you need to put on toolbars to activate. If you get "unauthorized to summon mount" error msg and a greyed-out mount icon, you cant use personal mounts until you progress far enough in the storyline to use personal choco.

Okay, here's a real question...
I got Black Summer Top, which is really great.
The problem is that the character I used the voucher on it for is female.
Now, I have a non-tradeable trash item that I cannot exchange for the one I need.
So, what do I do now besides cry, complain, and run around topless; simply because I used my voucher on the wrong gender-locked item?

They aren't sold. They are a six month veteran reward.

To Mor Dhona. I have done the trip on a L 15. On foot.

Calamity salvager will exchange gendered gear.

Now that we know how to get these items. How do I get rid of it? Obviously, it cannot be sold nor traded, but the "Discard" option is also grayed out. Do I need to sell it back to someone?

Stuff it on a retainer and forget about it?

the gear can go in the Armoire in the inn. you can place a lot of seasonal and exclusive items items in there. save space on retainers.
