Amazon - Physical Collectors Edition pre-order Not Yet Shipped...

They still haven't shipped out the physical collector's editions, and I talked to a rep and he said Amazon doesn't have the product yet. He said they are working with suppliers to get the item to customers by August 27, but they currently don't have it in stock. Maybe they can ship it same-day, or something, but I'm guessing it's going to be a few days, assuming they acquire the stock they need.

I really hope they don't pull a Toys R Us.

Preordered on June 11. It shipped on the 24th with an ETA of tomorrow. This is the PS3 version btw.

My copy is actually out for delivery as we speak. :D

I ordered it the day it was announced however, if that plays into it.

If anyone is in the same boat as me, they can contact Amazon by phone, and they will upgrade your shipping to Next Day.

The lady I talked to seems to think they will be getting more stock, and the item will ship, but it will likely be late, so she told me she would upgrade my shipping for free.

If your order hasn't shipped yet, it won't until they get the additional stock.

At least if/when they do get more stock in, you will get your item a little faster. Just hope I get it by the 30th!

Got the email at lunchtime today. Mine's shipped and will be here tomorrow. :)

The rep I'm speaking with right now is telling me that it's not available through Amazon any longer, and if I want, I can place an order with the third party sellers (for $240+) and they'll upgrade the shipping for me.

I bought the Collector's Edition Digitally on Amazon a few days ago for $49.99. Does this mean that I'll only get the in-game goodies or will I get something physical as well?

My PS3 CE has shipped from Amazon. Ordered on June 13th if that helps.

It can be confusing when looking at threads like this that caters to a global fan base.
I get the impression that everyone that has their's "in the mail" are in the US. Amazon UK work a little differently. Not only do games over here normally launch on a Friday (I suspect this launch caught them on the hop), but today is a Bank Holiday in the UK. I am in Ireland, and my CE is only at the "Dispatching Now" stage. Irish customers have no choice but do order from Amazon UK. We can't get "launch day delivery" and the free delivery we do get takes a week. I won't get my CE until next Monday if I'm lucky (maybe this Friday if I am very lucky).

So when people are expressing concern about Amazon, could you mention what country you are ordering from. The advice you will get from different countries will be very different.

Gamestop Ireland tend to be very good at "launch day" deliveries, but they couldn't guarantee an early-access/ extra items code for PS3 copies.
