If you are not activly playing log out (apparent people afk long periods)

There have been numerous (selfish) people logged in all day with no activity in the same spots on Hyperion.

Get off for others have a chance to play. IF you are done playing don't waste slots.

Good news is, later tonight and again during the am hours, there will be a reset and those mass worthless bodies will be forced off.

Unfortunately if they are logged into the game they probably aren't on the forums.

Unfortunately if they log out they won't be able to get back in. That's why they're not logging out, and I really can't blame them. At one point I stayed logged in for a couple hours AFK while waiting for my husband to be able to get on. Though I do think the game should have an auto AFK booter.

I can say with all honesty that I avoid logging out when AFK because I know it will be a nightmare getting back on(case in point, got 90,000'd 3 hours ago and haven't been able to get back on).

The problem isn't people idling, the problem is the cons of logging out are far greater than those of not logging out at this point in time.

If there were an AFK timer, then the problem would be alleviated somewhat, since the servers would be less congested and losing connection/opting to log out would not be punished so severely.

I honestly don't blame them for staying online and afking for 20-30 minutes. Who wants to run to the store that's 20 minutes away just to not be able to log back in when you return? And selfish? Well, i guess i could say the people on the game are being selfish as well. Taking spots from people like you and i. I've been locked out all day and some have been locked out since the start of early access. So if i do get on, i'm STAYING logged in til they kick me. idc if i have to stay logged in and sleep lol. Tired of the log in issues... I have the same right as anyone else to be playing right now, but SE feels differently..:mad:

Why should they? Most of them know that if they log out they won't be able to log back in?

I know I would do the same, call me a shellfish if you want.

Why? They pay to be online the same as you. Plus, you'd be stupid to log off now once you get on.

As pointed out elsewhere, they may be just waiting for duty finder.

Of course it's not exactly unexpected that someone would stay logged in if they want to play later on, or perhaps even the next day. At this point, with no fixes after over a week of problems, nor reassurances, there's almost no chance of getting in on launch day or the next few days either, if they log out now.

It's more like the login restriction should also come with afk restriction. Because by adding in log in restriction people won't log out for the fact that say they are gone for half hour to an hour they might not be able to get back on. By doing this however you alienate people who are active and ready to play while a bunch of afk are taking up slots. So basically this log in restriction actually restricts a lot more active players that could be playing when other people are busy with something else. Also much like the log in restriction the afk restriction would be limited on a basis as it's needed not something that would always remain.

I seriously doubt that anybody who was not present would have been able to stay logged in all day. Simply because the servers have been restarted at least 4 times in the last 12. They're not all somehow ninja remoting back in the exact moment online occurs.

there have been people trying to log in all day trying to play the game and you wont let them play because you want to be in game afk for hours?
yeah you probly wont be able to get back in later but if you got to go afk in game then you shouldnt be playing anyway. stop being selfish and let people play who actually have time to play
dont just hold up a spot doing nothing because you think your time is worth more then others

Yeah if I ever get in I'm leaving my guy afk in the inn room forever more. They need to implement some kind of AFK boot. This no queue server crap is really weak SE. Disappointed.

I was playing earlier twice and logged out both times when I was done. Why? Because well to put it bluntly I am not a jerk. I am not going to be playing so why would I stay logged in when others want to play. Obviously that isn't the mindset of the majority but what can we do? Honestly it makes me sad for our society but we can always hope they put an afk timer in place.

i just got done playing after about 2 hours of game time. finally got in.
i played the whole time and then logged out.
after maintenance is done im gonna try to log back in, and when im done im gonna log out
