Been trying since 2 pm.. its 22:50 right now and I am preparing for work.. I have yet to get in the game. I just tried it again and I get error 10102 or something.

Haven't been able to get in all day. The few times it actually started to load me into the world, I got hit with error 90000.
It's frustrating, yes, but hopefully, Square takes something from this.
You aren't the only one receiving this error. I don't know if they are still limiting logins due to the maintenance from early this morning or what. But any time I try to login I get a message that the server is full, start to connect and drop connection to the server or I am told that the client is unable to find the NA/EU servers. I have been searching high and low for a dev update on this but i haven't had any luck.
I been kind of wondering just now if it's just people going though PSN that can't get on to the NA/EU servers.
It will let me create for the JP servers,my char is a restart anyway now lvl 7 pug>
Yup those are about the same errors I have received as well Rhojin. Specially when you get hit with the message "world server is full, please be patient and wait for an opening" then instead of being put in a queue..you get placed back at the start menu.. yeah like wtf..
This is by far the most frustrating launch I ever had, I find it utterly shameful.
I haven't been able to log in to a US/EU server for the past 12 hours. It's infuriating. I can't exactly expect my entire guild to try to remake on JP servers just so we can try to game together.
I have been unable to login from 4pm BST after the maintenance occured. :(

Well yesterday I received a text from the store I pre-ordered at that my CE for the ps3 is ready for pickup, which of course i will, but I had hoped to play on my pc this weekend for a bit at least :(
I've been in a lot of bad launches for MMO's (conan, WoW, FF11, etc). Sw:ToR has the best launch as far as I am concerned. For non mmo's but with online restrictions, Diablo 3 and Simcity share a crown.
Heck I still can't even install the darn thing onto my PS3, I did everything that Sony and Verizon suggested that I do. I even only downloaded right off the PSN network, turned off the screen saver, and disabled the media searcher. I even did the reformat of the PS3. It still stops at 14% corrupted data. This just proves that it is a server error.
Have played a total of maybe, maybe two hours since it launched at 2am last night... just a cluster F of errors :(

I've put over 10 hours into it since EA, but right now I can't access. I'd love to rage and make threads demanding something, but i'm not angry and i'm not an entitled jerk. Launching of an online game is messy. I'd probably start to lose my patience if this persisted into next weekend though.
I've been trying to play since 8:30am Central. It's now almost 5:30pm Central and so far I have yet to actually make it in-game. The closest I've gotten was actually managing to bring up my character list, at which point it booted me with a "server is full, try again later" message. All other times throughout the day, I can't even bring up the NA/EU server list. If this shit isn't fixed within 3 1/2 hours, the entirety of Early Access will have been a wash for me. I only managed to get in for about 3 hours yesterday and I have to work all day tomorrow...
It is annoying that the NA/EU servers are still getting troubles, especially how SE thought that they had tackled the problem :/.
The Japanese servers have been fine so I've only found out about this trouble from coming to this forum :/.

Too bad thats 2am tomorrow morning my time, they should just do it now since most of us can't play anyhow.
MMO launches are historically messy, but I don't think I've ever been through one where I couldn't at least make it into the game. I'm use to constant disconnects and lag, but at least you can play. I just hope they get things ironed out in time for the main game launch. Really excited to actually get in to play the game. Now back to reading a book.
OWell I'm at work so yea i haven't played all day. Probably won't get to play much tomorrow either so my early access sucks so far.
I finally got in, said there were 87 people in Q and then BAM, got logged in, just finished one of my Duty Quest.
I've got two 10's on the Ultima Japanese server since I couldn't get to my main on Diabloooo. Since I went for a sampler approach I am stuck between a lancer, archer, and any of the mage classes. The marauder feels too slow for my taste, not played the gladiator enough, and the brawler isn't satisfying (needs a few more combat animations or maybe I didn't "get" fighting until I played a lancer lol).
I finally got on the game. Oh and yes a LOT of people are just standing around afk.
I have been trying for almost an hour now. Still getting 1017 error. What exactly has all this maintenance of the last few days been for? It certainly wasn't to fix the server issues, or else they wouldn't have returned. I am REALLY starting to rethink my purchase of this game.
I know this is only EA, but with two days to release, there is no way this will be fixed by then (since they already failed to fix it the last two days and through all of Phase 4).
Here is a game with potentially thousands of hours to gameplay, lots of upcoming content patches and the option to play on the couch on a console - yet two days of access woes is apparently too much of a heavy loss to recoup your $40 ($60 collectors). We get these armchair IT whizzes spouting off all the *dead simple* things Square Enix can do to fix a problem like the forum poster is the Brain and Square-Enix IT employees are Pinky.
Is this a fantastic launch? No. Could they have done things better? Yep. But how about you guys come down from this cloud of consumer entitlement where you've been brainwashed by the market culture that because you've spent money you've got the right to curl into a fetal position and kick your feet until Mother Yoshida gives you your binky and makes it all better. If you want a refund, get one. Stop stomping your feet all over the forums.
Considering that my main character was only level 16 I just rerolled her on Durandal and I'm leveling on here with no issues, chat is for the most part quiet with a few English speaking players on it. Once the NA/EU servers are fixed for good I'll do a server transfer to one of them but for now at least I'm playing, and that's good enough for me personally.

I was able to play from 10 AM EST to about noon until I made the mistake of trying to zone into a new area. Boom, connection lost and error 1017. Sod it... I'm going to bed with only 4 hours total play time over the weekend. Time to pray they actually fix something by the time I'm done work. I'd like to be hopeful but sadly I cannot.

@koop yeah because all those laws in countries regarding consumer rights were created for the heck of it and cuz people got bored right?
Fact is EA is a bought product that is part of a bigger package. From something you bought you have the right to expect that it works in a decent manner. Sunday that didn't and from what i heard neither did Saturday.
Are people over reacting? Yes, but there issue is a valid one and there request for a refund or compensation is also justified
