No QUEUE, just 1017. Forever.

Seriously? 3 hours clicking start, select character, see partial load, then error 1017, back to start, rinse repeat. And not ONCE has a queue of any sort appeared.

Please fix. I don't care if it is "you are in queue. your queue is #1017." Anything is better than this.

I'm getting the 'Unable to update the Group NA/EU Character List' over and over again.

Agree 100% with you on that. This sure is getting old all day long and have not got on NA/EU Side once. So i rolled on the japan sever side and wow there side runs great.

So total I got to play maybe 5 hours of the game since early access started. This really sucks. Every time I go to get on the servers are always down.

I am normally not the guy who comes to the form and whine about everything.

I can also understand having a limiter for testing purpose even thou it suxs.

BUT removing the queue is just a very bad move.
And doing that will force players to stay online, even thou they are not playing.

I mean, everyone knows that there is a limiter on the player count, i would not even log out when i go to bed knowing that. Cause the fear to not being able to log in for the next 10 hours is to big.

For myself, i am unable to log in since 6 1/2 hours now, due to server full (and an in between maintenance).

I've noticed that too. Check out the Japanese tech support forum... 5 posts in total. Me thinks they look after the JP servers a hell of a lot better than the EU/US. Now if only I could transfer my character over!

Back on topic, for the love of the universe! give us a darn queue!!!! we can at least sit and wait our turn rather than endless clicking start > character > Random Error >_<

I'm in game, someone knocks on my front door, so I answer it. Send them away and return to my computer in less than 2 minutes. BAM! I got disconnected, and now... can't even log back in. Seriously? That makes a total of oh.. 5 hours I've gotten to play during Early Access. This makes me a very angry person. I love Final Fantasy, but... I'd rather not be stuck waiting to just get a chance to log on.

Just read up on the updated news and it say's that the reason it's so limited to access the game right now is so that when it becomes "prime" time everyone will be able to play so basicly when our EU prime time was they limited the servers like this but when it's 3 - 5 am in the morning. It is apearntly the actual prime time because let's face it we Europeans just love staying up to 3 am in the morning to start playing the game for a few hours and then having to go to work since it's monday! whoop di dooo di dooo

I just can't understand, how come the server is full if it's early acces?? What gonna happen after 27? I hope they are pretending that the server is full and they are trying to do something...

The server is not actually full whats happend is they made a new maintenance and to ensure smooth gameplay they have limited the number of people being able to play by ALOT so that when the NA prime time starts they can open it up with no problem for everyone.

PS they have also said they are letting more and more people get in not that I know if it's true or not since I have'nt been able to enter atleast since the last maintenance.

Nah the solution then is to constantly reroll the servers. Then, once the amount of potential subscribers has been minimized, the issue wont even need to be addressed!

Seriously though, their lack of foresight is astounding. Given that they can track how many 1.0 players there are, how many preorders they had, as well as the giant history of various MMO launches... ellipses are fun!

SE was never player friendly I mean everything from there client service , support and whatever is just AWFUL it's always been that way . They just dont really care just say we apologize and everything is ok . GIMME a BREAK!

The lack of a queue is absolutely ridiculous! "The server is full, please try again later...." I seriously have to sit there clicking through the menu over and over again in the minimal chance of getting in? Why the hell can't I just be put into a flippin' queue???

FFS guys, this is out of hand.

Been trying for nealy an hour straight to get in and just keeps saying that server is full. Thing is it even makes me char disappear and na eu server list then have to close game and wait 5mins or so to try again. Come on ppl I understand there are problems but all these 5 maint a day are doing is freaking causing more. Fix the shit Close the server til you do or stop freaking messing it up more.

C'mon guys get your shit together. Also i love how Japan is having hardly any issues... I see where SE's priorities lie.

Q would be nice.

I am holding out for SE, but at the same time, this is beyond frustrating. We've been trying to get guildies onto our server since P4 (Hyperion)...the entire open beta was wasted because we were able to only get about 5% of the group on, but that's ok, it's beta. This here though, early access, this should be a launch ready client, and we are still having these game crushing issues. What is going to happen on the 27th? I can only imagine how bad it is going to be there. A name is being made for XIV ARR as of now, and it's none to good. I am backing you guys and hoping you can turn this around, but in the meantime, you must be aware of how very dire everything looks and feels right about now.

When you invite some friends who've never tried the game into your LS because you, yourself, love it...and then when they pre-order the game to get into early access and try it out only to be stuck in endless login screens, crashes, and unavailable servers...it's no good at all.

damn, tried at 15:40 to log on Cactuar .. error 1017 , server full..

2 hours and a half later , still getting this error ...

I understand that there will be problems all games have them but when the game is released and I have payed for my time I had better not get "world is full please try again later" if I have created a character on that server that spot should be mine if there are no spots left dont let ppl create characters on that server. If all are full make some new ones. This having to wait around is beyond ridiculous!

I was in for about 30 minutes a few hours ago - did an instance to get one step closer to my airship pass (I just want to get to Limsa...), had no problems, did one more, figured the worse that would happen would be that I wouldnt be able to get into the instance. Got in, beat it, was loading the finishing cutscene and BAM - 90k error. That was almost 3 hours ago. Im stuck now on the 1017. Im also apparently still in game... -.-;

Everything was running great before this morning's "Emergency maintenance." Login worked, instances worked, no chat complaints from anyone.
Good maintenance. Been offline since.

Was so happy to finally get in only to get disconnected and now endless 1017. This is just terrible. =[

Yea no queue is the balls, first time I have actually been upset. I was fine with the mess yesterday, whatever, at least I was able to log in and play. Today I gotta work, and won't even get to play again until after release, went to log in for a couple hours before work, then this. I am a pretty patient and forgiving guy, I understand the complexities of getting a system like this off the ground ... but come on guys ... no queue ... that's just dumb.

So peak hours should be right around now..This is the time that they supposedly were trying to have everythign working by. Glad to see I still can't get in game.

Sure is great to know where we stand with them as NA/EU players. Not even willing to make an investment in more servers for us, but we're supposed to just have faith that they'll have this fixed at some point - when many of us purchased a second copy of the game just to get early access.

I have been trying to log into the game for over 9 Hours now (literally). Earlier I was getting the nefarious "error 90000". Now the game is alternating between "unable to find Na/eu server" and error 1017. I got into a que. Once. Then it kicked me and gave me 1017 again.

If this was the first online game from Square-Enix I would be sympathetic. However, they've been running FFXI for over a decade, as well as Dragon Quest X. This is just unacceptable. So much for "early access".

I agree with the previous couple of posts. I understand that at the launch of any MMO there are problems... my only beef with this is the fact that this is Square Enix we're talking about. Square Enix is a large, powerful, and experienced company. You would think they would have been able to foresee this kind of thing and have the power to fix it quickly. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case. And, as per the usual, the Japanese servers are running flawlessly. And they were running perfectly fine while all of the NA servers were down for maintenance yesterday. Now... either nobody in Japan is playing this game... or there is some level of favoritism there. I vote we all invade the Japanese servers and make them crash! Riot!

... Kidding... But seriously... This is frustrating... and to think it could get worse when the game actually comes out on the 27th.

hi, I played on open beta and got 3102 error and was only able to play for a few short hours. I get home from work today to find that I now have 1017 error. I am receiving no queue only that the world is full. This has been very frustrating. I was very excited for this game and I understand errors and maintenance especially with the high volume of players. However, as someone who is purchasing this game on launch, it is very frustrating to see other people be able to play this game and continue to further their levels and experience, but I have continuously run into some sort of issue or error preventing me from enjoying the game. I hope something is done about this soon.

My GF got in the queue and intot he world fine, but I either cant see the list, or get auto kicked from the queue with the error 1017.
(Same with all my friends)

And honestly, if the servers are going to be locked, and they wont allow 1.0 characters to transfer to non legacy servers, I wont be playing.
There's no reason they couldnt make another legacy server/legacy neutral server, to help lighten the load.

(And with all the problems, and ppl being unable to play with eachother, they need to go back and do as they originally planned, and allow free transfers for the 1st 2 weeks. Rather than no transfers for 2 weeks, and then start charging everyone.)

From having been unable to access game since Early Access due to PSN CE fiasco to finally getting to be able to log in last night at 11pm only to have maintenance from 12-3ish (i didn't know maintenance ended around 1am :[ ) Got on at 3ish, got 2 levels in then saw a message saying something about maintenance and to log off now but it seems that was a big mistake. :/ Sigh...
