ERROR 1017

This message is a lie. I got kicked at #23 in a queue and ever since then, this is the message I keep getting. This happened in beta phase 3 and earlier today before maintenance.

I would really like to play my main character.

The reason I needed to log back in was because of the stupid instance issues. I had to restart because I got stuck in a black screen.

Seriously, do you expect people to PAY for this kind of shit? It's all fine and dandy right now during early access, but if you expect people to subscribe for this level of shit service, this is going to be a repeat of ffxiv 1.0.....

I've been supportive, and still am, but enough is enough. Get your shit together, SE.

EDIT: Law of Irony came into effect as soon as I posted this, I was able to log in. Still if anyone has issues with 1017 here ya go

Just had this exact thing happen to me... Tried to log in. Got into queue. Queue reloaded and 1017 error.

Isn't the point of the queue to not get a "the world is full" error where we all keep retrying and hammering the server? /sigh

I suppose we should be grateful we're not getting 3102...

Didn't SE learn anything from Open Beta?!?

And why on earth are SE able to copy stuff from other MMOs but they completely overlook "overflow servers" from GW2?

If there's something that can screw up a release of an MMO it's constant maintenance and not being able to log in to a server because it's full. For gods sake...

in the beta phases none of this happened , not even in the open beta 4 ... its only now the servers can't handle it ...

Getting this as of 5:00 AM EST, after the last "maintenance". Emphasis on the scare quotes there.

Unable to log onto my character. Which I think may be a clever way of preventing players from encountering anymore bugs.

I have the same problem Ive been waiting for all the maintenance to complete and now that i want to play i get this error this is unacceptable for a triple A mmo like ARR.

And its funny how on the 1.0 "bad" server technology none of this happened and in the "awesome" and improved Servers of ARR Cant handle it This doesn't happen even on f2p mmos like neverwinter, its absurd.

got the same message then recieved another error 2002 lobby server connection has encountered an error, now i can't log in??????

i'm also still getting the 90000 error

getting this error i can't login been trying the past 1 hour now my hand hurts from trying :(

i know now that they didn't anticipate this much players all servers are "FULL" guess that's a good thing and a bad thing lol

Guys read the news topics ;p , i'm in the same situation and lot more are too.
They restricted the access so they can monitor the duty server better. I guess they still have trouble finding the problem at hand with the duty server (my guess would be the last patch is the one that caused all those problems , open beta had no trouble and believe me it was way more populated then it is now). I'd be them i'd check the code of the patch and fix it.

Would be nice to have an ETA as to when they plan to lift the restrictions again though. If it's not until tomorrow I would just go do something else instead of stare at the screen hoping it'll be over soon..
