Behest auto party feature

I want to know why behest doesn't automatically set up a party with everyone that joins behest. Currently when every behest starts up a party is formed by players with everyone they see has joined the behest. But why do we need to do this as sometimes people are left out. It would make much more sense to auto party or allow everyone to attack the mobs that anyone in behest is attacking.

Maybe this is going not be a problem when the change for claiming mobs comes into place. What does everyone think?

I think something like this is happening once they implement the smaller party size features.

They are upping the difficultyand also reducing the timer to 30 min. Hopefully with auto-attack, behest won't be too fast.

I don't want an auto-party function. What happens if you have one person out of 8 that decides not to go with the rest of the party and starts attacking random behest mobs, screwing up SP? We'd have no way of ousting that lone wolf from the behest.

An open party system would be cool if you had a vote kick option for people mucking things up. Warhammer had an open party system you could use. If you party was open for public quests and stuff you could see it in an LFG feature and just join on your own without an invite.

people do that already, no need to be so harsh

They need to increase the amount of mobs that spawn during behests in order to reduce the problem of people randomly going around and killing mobs away from the major group. And base SP like they do in campaign.

they also need to put 2 or 3 more battlewardens at the camps as now I really have a hard time getting in on behests, even from when they were 15 ppl. When you form a party beforehand, one person should be able to elect the whole party. Grouping before a behest lets people communicate who wants in as opposed to the silent musical chairs you have to subject yourself to in order to be a part of the content which made the party void in the first place. I have no desire to play the kind of game where I need to wait in line for the roller coaster ride. This is lame!!!!!!!!!!!

I was hoping they would change Behest so that anyone who has joined the event is able to attack any mob, whether in or out of a party. Something similar to FFXIs Campaign or Beseiged where having to party up being optional (But partying being more beneficail).

I have my fingers crossed that grand companies however is just another name for FFXIs campaign system because i loved that. maybe then i will log in :o

A problem I see with auto-group is that some people might just auto-follow and get sp while beign afk.

They are planning to change the claim system, so maybe like others have said it will no longer require a party. It should work more like Campaign: Only get sp at the end of the battle and sp is rewarding based on your participation in it. This will prevent those who afk/do nothing.

Campaign worked very well imo, would also love a similiar system in ffxiv, inluding "company notes" vs allied notes for unique items and even skills. :D

Definitely agree with this, I would also like to see an auto party system in the Aerthyte menu for guildleves (obviously only partying members within the 5 rank range gap)

Maybe it could be tied into the LFG flag (if/when they add it) and will automatically group people up if they are on the same leve and similar rank.

Yes you sometimes end up with the odd A-hole in a group but I think even in those cases the pros of this system would far outweigh the cons.
