so who else has been enjoying the game so far besides me =D, maintenance galore but its fun
i love it aside from all the AHHH THIS GAME SUCKS IT DOESNT WORK crybabys in skull valley shout:)
this is actually one of the more smoother MMO launches I've had the pleasure to be a part of, so I'm enjoying the game immensely. The maintenance can't be helped, and in time the game will be stabilized I'm sure
Launches are always like this. my only complaint is friends can't join the server I'm on, and lack of auto log out if your idle to long. Other then that I'm enjoying myself, people who quit over this is just flat out unreasonable.
Hey, this is crazy,
And I just logged in,
But here's my 90000,
So fix me, maybe?
It's hard to be happy,
At these servers,
But here's my 3102,
So fix me, maybe?
And all the other errors,
Try to chase me,
But here's my money,
So HELP ME MAYBE.
jk i luv u SE. no problems here with anything <3
great game!! i love it.
I logged in this morning and ran around Coerthas and Mor Dhona. Did some fates, pretty cool. Once instances are fixed, the congestion should go down in the starter zones.
i think people are just thinking that the game is gonna magically be better than everything else that ever came out and have no super bugs anywhere lol
Yup, it's been really smooth! Maintenance seems kinda long but it's the only time I've seen a launch where the servers haven't shut down unexpectedly!
I remember when wow launch it was hour long cues, and hardly played for 2 weeks because of constint shut downs.
Other mmo's had three issues.
Rift had one of the most bug free solid beta's in history. Come early access and launch, servers hurt. It was worked out in a couple days.
GW2 crashed 6 times, worked out major bugs in 5 days.
People are all too quick to forget how bad WoW was when it opened. Man was it bad.
Yep, have to agree. This is one of the more "smooth" Launches, i have experienced. Maintenances are normal during the first days and nothing new to me, so i am not really worried.
WoW Was bad. First 24hours were as follows.
Servers came up for 2 hours.
Down for 3 hours.
Servers came up for 6 hours.
Down for 48 hours.
Most people don't recall how bad it really was.. All the " The game is done.. it will never be any good.." ya.. About that.
Granted WoW has gone to crap over last 9yrs.. but it was good in its beginning.
FFXIV is going to be great. I honestly think the multiple million players who came over to FFXIV took the devs off guard. I remember seeing a post about a target number of 450k player base.
Patience, it will all work out in the end.
have faith my people yoshi will lead us to the promise land soon =3 (with cookies), and it will be awesome and glorious
new title for ARR
FFXIV: Maintenance Simulator.
i logged in fine at 5 and evrythin was good except main so im having fun with it so far
Absolutely loving it and fiending to get back to it already...
I really am loving this game, have had a blast when I have been able to play. Was on at 2, then got some sleep just before the servers came down the first time.
Now I'm playing my character, F5 Bot, and he's attacking the news page of the lodestone.
I am having a really fun time so far, and of the MMOs I have seen at launch, WOW, Aion, SWtor, Diablo3. Rift and GW2 was pretty good. But FFXIV ARR is one of the most stable launches I have experienced. With all the efforts Yoshida and his team has done to make ARR, I will gladly accept there will be emergency maintenances popping up during the early days of the launch.
The ones who rushes to the Forums to scream this is utterly unacceptable needs to take a chillpill and just do something else when servers are being fixed.
I myself have been watching Tiny Toons episodes and having a fun time rewatching this fun series from my childhood :)
Despite not being able to play my main on Ultros, I've been enjoying my arcanist lalafell on Ixion.
The not-so-noisy chat that's filled with /shouts is nice.
Just taking it with stride.
Complaining and pouting about all these hiccups the NA/EU servers are experiencing isn't gonna get me anywhere.
I always tell myself that it's better to let them take down the servers and fix the issues then them not caring by just letting us play and fix nothing at all. It'll be better in the long run if we let them fix the server issues now. We all want to play but in the end, but in order for us to get there we got to let them work and get to it, we can't keep demanding them to bring the servers back or accuse them of kicking us out of the game because we want to play.
And anyways what's the point of asking them not to bring down the servers if we can't advance. That logic makes no sense, "Don't take down the servers, I want to keep playing even though I can't advance." The best thing we can do is show patience and maturity. Server issues are inevitable and people should know this, the game itself works fine. We just have to get to server stability now once we get there it'll be worth the wait.
Problem is that the majority of players is getting the instance bug despite SE claiming they fixed the issue. Just because you don't have the bug doesn't mean others don't.
