Error 10102 - Please Post Name, World, and Current Zone

I work as a computer systems analyst and my job is to help detect bugs in production software. There is currently a 10102 thread, but it is not being used to report character data. Due to the lack of an official support thread, I have created a thread where we report the symptoms.

Let's look at the facts:

- Error seems to apply only to characters created in Open Beta.
- Most people having this issue experienced the infamous 3102 issue in Open Beta.
- Most players didn't have a chance to log into their characters after the Open Beta 3102 error was fixed.
- Most players having this issue were logged out in an instance.
- Issue has been happening since the start of early release, we have not been able to log in once.

What would resolve the issue:

- When error 3102, or 10102 happens, instead of giving us a failure notification, run another sequence that forces the player to spawn in their starting zone.

If everyone experiencing this error is currently stuck in a dungeon then it would almost certainly be tied to the duty servers being down right now.

My char. was locked out during the 3102 error and i never reported the issue. I cant recall the area since this happened a few weeks ago. But this morning i tried to log in at received the 10102 error. My char will not log in

I was lvl 24 when this happened

Either a 3102 or 90000 error and booted out. Now a 10102 connection with the server was lost as I try to log back in

- Most players having this issue were logged out in an instance. While on airship
- Issue has been happening since the start of early release, we have not been able to log in once. Logged in most of the day till half hour before servers came down

I never received error 3102 in open beta. I was not on except for a little the first and last day though. I received error 90000 while going from New Gridania to Central Shroud. This happened about 10 minutes after finishing satasha. After that the NA/EU world list would not show up for about 10 minutes. Then, I started getting error 10102 every time i tried to log in.

I never got any error codes until I logged off today for about an hour then tried to log back on I got three different errors while trying again aand again, 90000, 10102, and 6*** somethin ya dind't write them down and forgot them i know tthat doesn't help but just letting you know my situation.

happened when entering totorak via duty finder first with the 90000 error then 10102 error exactly the same as 3102 im officially fed up now not one to moan usually as i love square enix but i got 3102 last weekend and now its evil twin 10102 and no word from square despite numerous threads i can appreciate its first day of full game pre launch but with all the problems thats been happening today im at the end of my tether come on please square or a dev give us an update please

I was getting error 10102 and 90000 before the NA/EU servers went down for their emergency maintenance after the Gilgamesh and Excalibur worlds had emergency maintenance done on them. I was just questing when it booted me out.

(Their timestamp for the mass worlds emergency maintenance is: Aug. 24, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (PDT))

after "exit" from an instance (sastasha duty finder) then the connection with server was lost, cant login back.

*Details of note**
- I DID have a chance to log into my character after the Open Beta 3102 error was fixed.
- I was NOT logged out in an instance when I began having this issue. I had just entered a new zone in Thanlan when I decided to log out, and then log back in to fix a sound issue. Upon attempting to log back in, I began receiving the 10102 error.

I am Lv. 4 only Archer, since I had so many problems on Saturday 24th - I wanted to log in at 3 pm, but only been able at 8 pm (5 hours later!!) and again dropped out TWO times and then - first error 90000, then the ugly 10102 and since then no chance to select my char at Server Shiva to Play with; I never had this trouble before, what the heck is wrong again? I thought this particular problem has been solved already??? PLEEEEAAASE SE, help us and tell what is causing this problem on so many Servers and different Happenings!! :mad: :mad:

Zone: A'shurei Umi was in the level 5 Archer's quest in Gridania when the server went down and I got hit with the 90000 error. Several hours later, I tried to log in, but got hit with 90000 & 10102 one after another. Now both characters are locked out.

I did not have this error during P4 Beta. Now it's a mix of 90000 and 10102 errors why I tried to log in.

I was not a victim of the 3102 Error code in the open beta.

This occurred this morning at around 6:15am. I tried to enter the instance for one of the storyline quests (can't remember name now) and it got stuck on the loading screen (Black screen). I hit alt + f4 like I was doing yesterday to log back in and it now comes up with this error.
