1.0 Legacy Char not recognized as Legacy

Party or solo: solo

In-game time: right from the start

Area and coordinates: Intro and starting city

Steps:
1. Logged in to the game
2. imported the 3 characters, overhauling their looks slighty (during OB)
3. got the regular "new 2.0 char" carriage/ship intro on all 3 of them instead of the Legacy intro they should receive
4. NPCs treat them like new 2.0 characters instead of legacy 1.0 chars
5. now in Head Start, the issue remains

I got in contact with your support about this during Open Beta (Ticket Number #2503404) but was told that support couldn't do anything about Legacy related problems and that the devs would need to fix it.

Formerly known as Kaidenn Dalk in 1.0: race, gender, appearance were also changed.

This happens since beta phase 3 even before the name, gender, race changes.
It was never acknowledged as 1.0 returning character by NPC and obviously the program (except for my items and mounts, progression etc. that were all there).

Newly created characters on my Legacy account do not have the Legacy tattoo, but i do have legacy mount.

Same issue.

Legacy character, tweaked visuals and name, logged in and it started me with all the new player bells and whistles. :/

If it's a new character then it can't be considered a 1.0 character, hence the lack of tatoo. The legacy mount is shared through every character on your account, so even new ones can have it (like any bonus from preorder or CE).

Unless you meant you tweaked your old character into a new appearance / name like mine.

Same issue. Updated 1.0 character appearance, received 2.0 introduction cinematic. Issue in Phase 3 and 4.

Thanks for clearing that up. But i do find it pretty strange that i can see a Legacy tattoo on each newly created character on the character selection screen, and it is gone when i actually log into the game with one of those newly created characters.

You only get the Legacy openings if you were one of the few that defeated Nael van Darnus.

That's urban legend.
Yoshida never said any requirement beside being a 1.0 character was needed. Add to this that many people reported having never beaten Van Darnus (story or Hard mode) and yet acknowledged as returning characters with the proper cs.

And what will it change if they fix the intro? You already started so after the intro there is nothing different

1. We can rewatch intro and many other cs in inn room
2. NPC can treat us as for what we are : Meteor Survivors (Heroes w/e) : I want Minfilia talking to me saying "I know who you are but I'll pretend I don't in front of others" instead of "hey welcome you nobody". I want Mother Miounne saying "Hmm you look familiar, oh wait your name already in my register ? how come ?" etc..

So, right now I'm stalling main story as much as I can...

In another thread someone mentionned his 1.0 character (original one) didn't have the mark on the back and then later, it had. My guess is it has something to do with servers congestion.

Fixing? Would be great... but I'll be honest, I'm at a point where I would be delighted if they even so much as officially recognized this as a bug to fix at some point.... ^_^" That's how low my expectations are with SE at the moment.

I would like a fix my legacy tattoo is not showing on any of my 1.0 characters in game on at the character selection screen, and I refuse to play or alter my main for login until this bug is confirmed fixed.

My two alts from 1.0 got treated as 2.0 character with the opening for 2.0 characters as well, so I am kind of upset. At this point I refused to play my main so I don't get the same treatment like my two alts already did.

Frequency: This happened in all the betas as well as the launch version.

I too am getting the 1.0 character considered new character issue. Happened back in phase 3 as well, I'm just now getting around to actually logging in with that character.

Doing my part with copypasta to get this situation addressed. This is a game breaker for me!

Adding my name to the list. Very much a bummer. :( I played 1.0 from the betas till the day it shut down.

Same. No tattoo, no special treatment (that I didn't even know existed until now).

Can't believe no one from the dev team has acknowledged this yet.

One of my characters got the legacy intro while the other got the 2.0 intro. Former ine i didnt change my name while the latter i did. Not sure if this had any impact

I'm also not getting any of the Legacy scenes. And I've found that while I didn't start with my legacy tattoo, though i should have, I can use the toggle command (/lmark) to toggle it off and on again, but it dissapears across zone-lines, teleports and cut-scenes. I'm really gutted I'm not getting my Legacy scenes; I was really looking forward to them. nad the vanishing legacy mark is beginning to get vexing.

My characters name was not changed, nor race/gender, but I did change his appearance.
