Stuttering performance glitch

Having an extremely annoying graphical issue with the game. Although my frame-rates are acceptable, every few steps the game hitches/stutters, making it appear as though character is warping forward a step or so.

I've had this issue with The Witcher 2 and Fallout New Vegas, both were fixed by some .dll placements. In LoTRO I had this issue and I was able to fix it by limiting the framerate to a specific level, using an option in the game. I'm aware that this game has this option (only for 30, 60 frames), but my guess is that my FPS doesn't reliably go over 30, so that limit doesn't actually help me.

Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated.

Running windows 7, intel i5-750 (quad core) 2.67GHz, 8 gigs of RAM, AMD Radeon 6870 1gig.

I get locked 60 fps with no drops and I still get this random 2 second stutter every 20-30 seconds whether on bare minimum settings or maximum. I even decided to record a video with fraps and watched them all, but couldn't see the stuttering in there, so this seems like a display refresh bug. No other game does this and I would like to know if anybody has any information about this problem.

My CPU is a 2500k and my GPU is a GTX 670 and it's at most 60-70% usage even when this happens. I've tried the last beta drivers 326.80 as well as 320.49 and 314.22 and I just reformatted a day ago, so everything is stock for testing. This is also installed on a 128GB Samsung 830 SSD, so it's quite confusing to have any issues like this one.

Annoying thing. I couldn't get to test the game yet because of the congestion but I had similar problems in P4. Huge FPS loss even with minimum configurations.
I run in a i5 2500, 8GB RAM, GTX 680 and the in-game FPS count feature in System menu points rock solid 60 FPS even in the most crowded areas, but what I see in the screen is a FPS drop to about ~35.

Well, that was in the P4, but as I can see with this thread maybe it doesn't got addressed even with the beta forum rather large thread about this issue and tickets sent to support center.

I'm having the same exact issue when running SLI, maybe a driver update will help in the future. When I disable SLI the random stutter goes away, but my overall fps drops a little.

Also getting this issue with my 670 SLI.
Oddly, it doesnt happen at all in some areas.

Hi Everyone.

Not sure if this is related to your issues but I have 680 gtx (also i5 8GB RAM SSD etc...) and the game would freeze up then go from 60+ fps to 10-15 FPS. This started to happen in Phase 4.

Disabling vsync in my nvidia control panel fixed this. Hopefully this will help someone.

I get this too, unfortunately. The game would play flawlessly up until phase 4 + ... I've got a GTX 670, meh.

Lol everyone facing such issue in NVIDIA cards have 600 series... Is it just coincidence?

I'm on GTX 780 SLI. With SLI on I encounter a lot of frame drops as well. With SLI Disabled the game feels smoother, FPS is about the same as well.

The benchmark runs/scales with SLI amazingly. If you guys actually monitor your card while playing (with SLI enabled) you will be shocked at what's going on. The game/drivers constantly underclock your card in certain areas. GPU usage is very very low. Each card with roughly 40% load.

With SLI disabled everything is normal, load is anywhere from 70-99% and clocks are stable. With 2 780's I score 22500+ on the benchmark, but in game I'm getting 30 fps in Horizon with SLI enabled. with SLI disabled I still get 30 fps. This makes no sense at all.

SLI is most definitely not working properly at the moment, whether its a game issue or a driver issue I have no idea. The benchmark is obviously optimized though. Not the game itself however.

i ussly start messign with full screen and all that and its pops is self out of it i think its a vsync bug or something

I have posted a similar issue in my own thread with my 6870 HD I am also getting frequent stuttering, very annoying and making the game not fun to play.

i have i5 2500k @ 4.4 and 8gb ram and a high end AMD 7970 plus im using SSD for maximum pleasure,but this issue really kills it!!

I know this feeling. I too have sent a ticket last week, no response. No problem since I bet they are really busy with those server congestion issues, but I hope we get a answer in this matter soon.

I thought initially that it was a client / config issue from my end. However with the above, it appears that something changed recently. On P4, with the 13.8B drivers, stuttering was minimal on the crossfire setup (other than general known xfire issues) and graphics were very smooth in Eyefinity (5760*1080). On EA, stuttering in the game has become extensive, with the graphics appearing to freeze for a millisecond or so every 3 or 4 seconds. After about 5 hours on, the stuttering suddenly increased to the extent that new frames were drawn only a few seconds apart and the client finally crashed. Could not find any error log from the game, and WEM did not capture any errors.

Mine runs fine in a 1600x900 window (why the heck is that the highest you can set a window??), but when I try to use my Eyefinity setup 5760x1080 it does the same hitching/stuttering every second or two even though it's running at 50 FPS.
