Legacy Remake Not There

According to: http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...cc4eab4da42504 we were supposed to be able to remake our Legacy characters because we couldn't load anything from the character benchmark (a second time at least). Anyone else having that issue?

I'm having this issue. The last time around, the game kindly asked me if I wanted to remake my character, and then--just as kindly--told me to go fuck myself. By that: I mean it teleported me straight to Ul'Dah on PGL.

I suppose it's my fault for clicking that big X in the lower left corner and trying to exit the character creator so I could roll back all the randomizing I'd done... But then again, I also wasn't the one who posted on the lodestone that we'd be able to re-access the character creator until we'd OK'd any changes. Nor was I the one who decided not to include the import feature for Legacy characters. :D

I'd like to change my name at some point, here. :)

Update: It says that it's only eligible for qualified players, but they're not really specific about it at all (they don't really explain what exactly counts as eligibility). They should probably offer it for all Legacy people who haven't remade their characters yet.

For example: One P3 char has free name change but no appearance change. Kind of thought we would get both? Some people are apparently having issues for the other way around.

I'm holding out that they might just give a change to all of the legacy characters again, because their method obviously isn't working. I wouldn't doubt that there are other people rearing to go over this once they've woken up. Anyone whose happy with their changes will OK them, anyway. Those of us who weren't even given the chance to change our characters would appreciate it.

my character is no where near what i had build

When I logged in during P4 beta and was unable to load benchmark data, I was unaware that this was a bug and dealt with it. Upon news that we would be able to essentially re-do, I was very relieved as I did not create a character to the benchmark standard I had. I do not think it is too much to ask to allow all players to have the opportunity to re-make names and races, as a majority of the community was unaware that this was not as it was intended.

I submitted a ticket IG, I got a response, they told me they knew there is an issue with this fonctionnality and they are working on it, I hope we will get our second chance soon.

SQEX is supposed to update the community once they've decided to launch another character edit campaign.

My character is ruined due to the benchmark screw up.. I mean, LOOK AT HER. D: Just gave a ticket to GM today. :(

I look like I've smoked 3 bags of... Lalafellan happy plants.

i had the opposite issue... but i didnt want to change my name anyway so my old LS friends know who i am. (and cause i like the name)

Not enough breasts in the world will justify the anger of a thousand players if our characters are perma screwed over, Valient. That and I don't swing that way- any more... High school was a dark and dim place.

Why don't they save themselves the headache and simply reapply the recreation from beta phase 4- BUT WORKING AND STABLE- to ALL 1.0 characters? I mean, these guys gotta do everything in their power to keep these players happy... and to correct their funk ups. D:

They have lost a legacy player subscription because of this.

I hope they aren't going to renege on this fix...

I submitted a ticket back in Phase 4 after I noticed one of my choices didn't go through correctly and did feedback on not getting saved data option. However, I now notice my name was blocked on character creation even for servers where the name isn't taken. Does this mean I'll be forced to change my name if they do ever allow us to fix our characters? I could waste my Fantasia to fix the appearance but I really wanted to save that.
